Dragonball doesn't have a single tone. It has both silly and serious moments, both humor and drama, just like real life. The idea that a work of fiction should be only all-comedy or all-serious is unnatural and frankly, retarded.

EX Yamhan
Vegeta, Bulma and Bra having dinner (Trunks was at Goten's)
Picture based on DaySpring's old timeline calendar theory (the Dr. Slump/Dragon Ball 1984 AD/Age 749 one)
Realistic Yamcha attempt
Wishes she can change her name to YamchaFan (her name everywhere else)
Obssessed with the Earthlings and the original DB anime

Year 2013 = Age 778 = Battle of Gods released/Beerus fights SSG Goku.
It adds up, intentionally or not.
So it's a neat theory.

Ah thanks, but that is actually a repost (is even in a smaller resolution), going by the file name of the original pic it comes from Twitter. And is always a pain and half to track the origin of Twitter pics.
