So I really dislike the future trunks arc both as a standalone arc and a midquel between the Uni 6 arc and the TOP. So I decided to take it upon myself to make a fan edit where I combine the plot necessary bits from the FT arc (2 Zenos) with the best aspects of the post FT episodes (like Gohan vs Goku and Kuririn vs Goku).
This episode acts as a replacement to the Future Trunks arc and smoothly ties into the Tournament of Power Arc.
I won't directly share the episode but you can find it if you rummage through here: [Removed for now, PM for link]
The episode is in Beta and it suffers from one nitpick that I'll save for later just to gauge whether or not it's THAT noticeable. I would like to get people's thoughts on this experiment and see if anyone else shares my views on the FT arc.

Spoiler:
Dragon Ball Super - Episode of Zeno (Version 2)
-Creditless Opening
-[Episode 68] Bulma secretly works on the Time Machine - A flaw here would be the music fade near the end of the cut. This is something I can fix if I can get the 5.1 audio as I can extend the scene and not worry about finding a good spot to cut.
-[Episode 54] Zeno asks for Goku - Necessary setup for the episode, and a great moment.
-[Episode 75] Great Saiyaman & Goku Spar - This is a hard cut that is surprisingly smooth given the last scene. This scene acts as a great “what’s he up to now”. Funny because this effect is absent between episodes 54 and 55.
-[Episode 55] Whis fetches Goku - This scene has a few edits within it. I cut out the chunk of dialogue where Goku references the time machine and Goku Black as, in this edit, he technically doesn’t know about it yet/shouldn’t know about it. But I made certain that Goku kept his line where he says that he was busy (minus his reasoning as it is a reference to the time machine). I edited around the ambient music very carefully here. I also cut out the Capsule Corp scene that bridges the two halves of Beerus’ conversation with Goku, as it is redundant. It also references Future Trunks a little bit into the scene so it’s out.
-Eyecatch
-[Episode 55] Beerus’ warning to Whis - I continue where the previous CC scene leaves off, but I trim the beginning as there is a reference to Goku Black and time travel. The audio cut here is not perfect because of the nature of the scene. It’s mid conversation and the music mimics this. I can fix this if I get access to the 5.1 audio.
-[Episode 55] Goku and Whis visit the Kais, visiting Zeno - I cut out the Zamasu and Gowasu segment that bridges the two scenes here, otherwise this section is mostly uncut. There is a minor edit here where I cut out the eyecatch and make sure the ambient noise sounds smooth across the two clips. The scene ends with Beerus freaking out and Whis telling Goku that he can go back and deal with his business. Remember how Goku had something to deal with? The reason I kept that one vague was so I can slip in the next scene.
-[Episode 75] Goku & Kuriren visit Roshi - This scene and the fight that follows are uncut. However, if I had access to the 5.1 audio, I would take out the “police” lines. The only edit here is that I loop Goku’s sleep cycle and superimpose a scene (from kai) of Future Trunks leaving in his time machine. In context, this is where Goku realizes how he can keep his promise to Zeno.
-[Episode 54] Capsule Corp Sunrise - This was necessary. It makes the episode flow better and sets the scene and local. It’s pretty smooth considering the previous scene ending in Goku sleeping.
-[Episode 68] Goku visits Bulma at Capsule Corp - This scene was originally made for the gag episode where Goku tries to wish back King Kai. Goku surprises Bulma, then I cut right before Goku asks for the Dragon Radar. So in the context of this edit, the dream in the previous scene, and the time machine in the background, it makes it seem like he’s asking for a trip to the future instead. I also had to trim a bit of audio during the start of the clip as it references other aspects of its episode.
-[Episode 67] Beerus and Whis worry about something - This scene was originally made in reference to the uncertainty of the future world. I use it as a kind of foreshadowing to Goku’s actions and breaking the laws of the universe. Some of you interpreted this slightly differently and that’s fine I guess. I cut out Beerus’ dialogue as it was directly in reference to the future. So I cut out the audio and put in some ambient noise. This scene acts as a buffer between the Capsule Corps scenes.
-[Episode 54] Bulma completes the time machine - I continue with the latter half of the previous sunrise and let the scene play from there. Essentially Bulma’s machine is done.
-[Episode 55] Bulma shows off the Time Machine - Some edits here. Right after where young Trunks says “he helped”, I cut out segments with Future Trunks in it. Remarkable that FT was off screen in the “gang” shot. From there are various snippets of the machine turning on. The shot of the rocket thruster is actually from ep 67! It had music on it so I used a stock rocket sound (like a hum) and it is pretty seamless. The rocket then leaves to the future.
-[Episode 67] Goku finds Future Zeno - Straightforward. The time machine is now in the distant future (represented by text), I cut out any shots with FT in them. Which includes the panning shot to Zeno, it’s actually cut short but it works pretty well. Then a divine cut to grand Zeno’s place! Plays unedited until the end. Throughout this clip, you’ll notice that Goku’s battle damage is incorrect. Something I would like to get some help on. If interested please reach out.

I guess there being two Zenos is really the only thing preventing the Future Trunks saga from being a self-contained filler saga. I watched your video but I didn't understand what timeline Goku brought the other Zeno from since the events with Zamasu didn't happen. Did that Zeno destroy Trunks' timeline or was that supposed to be a new unseen timeline?
That's a very good criticism. Unfortunately, I don't think I can address it. I thought of it more like foreshadowing as to what Zeno announces in the TOP about destroying the universe that loses. Essentially implying the uni 7 won't win. I'll see what I can do about it though, thanks for watching.
I just wrote all the edits I made in this project in a timeline format then when I hit preview it asked me to sign in, weird but okay. I sign in then the next thing I know is that the last two hours of review and note taking went away
So screw that for now. This new version is better than the old one.
An episode filled with slice of life moments and mostly with the interesting parts of the saga. Certainly way more fun than watching the entirety of Dragon Ball Super. Loved it! Great job!
• Goodbye friend. You are weak, so you must be destroyed! •
Nice job! This might actually make more sense in a way. Goku travels to the far distant future and finds out Zeno wipes out everything out of boredom or for some unknown reason. Bringing that Zeno to the past keeps Present Zeno occupied and prevents that future from happening. This is easiest fix to skip the Goku Black saga since editing out the second Zeno would be too much work.

Thank you very much, glad you liked it. I feel the same way. There are loads of great moments in Super, but the plot focuses on some crappily executed ideas.

Well I'll be damned. I was hoping people would understand it, for the most part, the way you did. Guess the overall execution is not bad.
I had mentioned a few flaws in the notes that got deleted so here goes a few:
Spoiler:
-The visual quality of the export. I am sure if I get the actual BRs I can make it a lot better. I edit in Final Cut. I hear premiere is far better because you can slap the MKVs on to them, maybe? My eyes might be playing tricks on me but I could have sworn TeeHalums did it once in one of his videos.
-Some audio edits are soft fades. Nothing major just that if I got access to the 5.1 dub audio I can make these better. I could also remove a couple of lines that serve no purpose.
-The biggest flaw is Goku's sudden battle damage near the end. I am no expert in photoshop or illustrator. So a helping hand would be great. I remember a friend of AnimeAjay did a great job with these in RoF SuperCut.
-I would like to abide by a good naming convention like all the professional fan edits, save this for last.
Also, if someone with better video editing skills would like to take this concept and try it out themselves, be my guest. I'll write up the timeline of edits later.

Yeah the execution was good and more clear than the previous version from what I remember. You included Beerus' line about Zeno potentially wiping out their reality which I think is enough to foreshadow he could do it in the distant future.
I didn't notice the audio and video flaws although I don't have the eye (or ear) for these things. Goku's battle damage could be explained that it was a bumpy ride to that far off into the future I guess. For the last point, did you want to give the edit a different title? How about the Goku Blackout Edition...since he's being left in the dark...
Okay finally done with notes. I'll add this to the OP.

Is this dub-only, or dub and sub?
Dub only. Editing around the music is tough as it is. My future goals involve utilizing the musicless tracks for better edits, so sub is beyond the scope of the project.
However, the current state of the video can exist in sub form, it's just not ideal.
