Yep. Number one is definitely going to be the Kamehameha. That just begs the question of what number two will be. Maybe the Galick Gun?

The Big Bang Attack is just a ball of energy that was used to kill a disposable side villain. There’s nothing that really stands out about it, aside from its name. The Galick Gun actually kind out stands out as an evil Kamehameha, and it was used in a pretty memorable beam struggle with the Kamehameha, in a fight that TFS considers to be the number one fight of the series. I could of course be wrong, but it seems like they’d be more likely to go with the Galick Gun.

I actually think the Mafua will be making number 2. It has EVERYTHING going for it to make it a great technique in the eyes of the crew.

It has great theoretical effectiveness, great practical effectiveness, a good selection of drawbacks to make using it less simple, and a ton of character and story relevance.

I hadn’t thought of that, but you might be right.

I've seen what no 2 is thanks to Patreon, which puts them out a day early. I'm not gonna say what it is due to spoilers, but it's, uh...it's a good 'un. You can tell Kaiser had a lot of fun with that video in particular.

Fusion? I definitely did not see that one coming. I can certainly see why it would be considered a cool technique, but unfortunately, it’s essentially just a marketing gimmick nowadays.

As they said, it was pretty underused in it's heyday. The movie which came out just last year is the second time in the history of the series (not counting Merged Zamasu, my favourite fusion FWIW) that a fusion actually won. If you look back on its place in the Buu arc, it was just one of many toys in the toybox Toriyama introduced and threw out before finally settling on a climax.

But at the end of the day, the idea and the iconography behind it is too good to pass up. I can appreciate that.

That’s interesting I was sure Fusion would be in the top 5 for sure along with Kamehameha and Genki Dama. Not including order I actually agree with their pics except for 2:

Final Flash and Hellzone Gernade. These attacks are generic AF and each only have one good scene attached to them. Personally I would’ve replaced them with: Mafuba/Taiyoken/Zanzoken

So, I'm kinda surprised not a lot of talk with Masako's stuff happens here, but since he's been doing his advent calendar stuff for counting down his top 24 DBZA moments, I feel this is worth discussing.
The playlist is here

So far, he has his list as such:
Day 1: Episode 1
Day 2: Episode 2
Day 3: Episode 45
Day 4: Plan to Eradicate Christmas
Day 5: Return of Cooler's Revenge 2: The Reckoning
Day 6: Make a Man Out of You song parody
Day 7: Kai Abridged 3.5
Day 8: Kai Abridged 2
Day 9: Dead Zone
Day 10: Episode 44
Day 11: Episode 34
Day 12: Lord Slug
Day 13: Episode 52
Day 14: Broly: The Legendary Super Saiyan
Day 15: Episode 10
Day 16: World's Strongest
Day 17: Revenge of Cooler
Day 18: Super Android 13
Day 19: Episode 28
Day 20: Episode 59
Day 21: Episode 60
Day 22: Episode 39
Day 23: Episode 35

Unfortunately, he currently has doubles of 4 of the videos, but I made sure to tell him about that. It might just be a YouTube glitch. Also, half of each video at least is him opening the card game packs. I just skipped those since the only anime-based card game I like or just am even remotely interested in is Yugioh.

I find these really interesting. I have a feeling the rest of TFS will do something like this in a few years, especially after DBZA is done, but I like most everyone that's a part of TFS, especially Masako. He shares a good bit of behind the scenes info & it's interesting to see what his ranking as someone who worked on the show is versus a fan or his other costars. He's also never involved a lot on the TFS channels, so seeing him do this similar stuff is really great.

MasakoX's Day 24/#1 DBZA moment is episode 30.

I'm not that surprised. As much as I like episode 60 & episodes 32-34, episode 30 was just a great season finale. Also, it doesn't try to have a forced message about pacifism or some bullshit that makes no sense even in DBZA. Everything just came together well.

Also, side note, I don't even care that they used "retarded" as a synonym for "stupid" even though Kaiser & Lani do nowadays. I know some people do, & I understand why, but I don't. It was 2012 & most people grow up in places where that doesn't matter, so I think it's forgivable if they feel guilt about it.

Here's the previous ones...

Insert-joke-here about Piccolo, Yamcha and Vegeta being the three wise men. Yamcha brought the myrrh, that's why Chi Chi told him to clear off.

Also, nice wholesome appearance from Goku there.

Scott, if you check back here, thanks for the shot of Goku checking in on them with that crystal ball. I know you guys shit on him in canon for apparently not checking in on them at all, so to see you guys showed him doing so secretly was really heartwarming, especially when your version of Goku has seemed even LESS caring about his family than canon Goku.

I mean, there is a reason we spent Season 3 building up to Goku's sacrifice. The narrative WAS faulty and we wanted to correct it.

But honestly thanks for the acknowledgment. In truth, the whole short is significantly less worthwhile without that shot. To me, anyway.
