I went to check, Episode 59 came out in June. Crazy, but there has been so much content coming out of TFS it hasn't been too bad of a wait, compared to long gaps we had in the past.

I mean, I'm used to waiting too long for Yugioh Abridged, which has actually gotten on a decent schedule finally of around every 2-3 months, so this is not different.

On another case, anyone else think Lani, Grant, & Kirran's constant shitting on Goten goes a bit too far? I mean, I get it. He's a foil to Trunks & he's basically an expy of his father that needs character development. That shit I get, but to constantly bring that up & mercilessly shit on him when he's done nothing to deserve it is something I think is going a bit too far with the criticism. I mean, there's shitting on Super & saying GT's better, a statement that should NEVER be uttered, then there's shitting on a character who's not deserving of it.

I mean, I love their let's plays, but shamelessly ripping a character to pieces who really doesn't deserve it is kinda shitty & petty, especially when they have weak starting stats & they don't do anything to improve him. It's like, "Why do you guys think that they gave you a character to use to level up & make his stats better? This is an RPG, not a fighting game. Did Xenoverse teach you guys NOTHING? Stat allocation is everything."

Also, no. Super's been better than GT so far as I've been watching it. It's been more consistently entertaining for me & at least it's not 100% focused on Goku.

It might be their deliveries to be honest. If they're supposed to be lighthearted jabs, or jokes, their delivery really doesn't hint at it to me. Like, when you guys write the characters the way you do in the Abridged Series, I know what to expect because you're obviously taking the piss out of the show. The playthrough commentaries don't always have that air of sarcasm or obvious jokes. It also doesn't help that they throw in criticisms that I genuinely agree with, or see why people would say them, like criticism of Goku's characterization from Z onwards & the writing of the Super anime in some instances could've been better, or how much better the Xenoverse games could've been.
I also don't always take their playing seriously, nor do I always agree with how they play the games they do, since I've played some of them myself & I know some of the tricks to them. Clearly they play games for the first time, or after a long time since their last playthroughs, & play them to get their opinions out as they play. I think a lot of their playthroughs are really entertaining, especially when binged after they're completed. It's just some of the random criticisms & Kirran & Grant's attitudes at times. Kirran states things as though they're facts, like that GT thing, hating Goku (which makes it seems like he's part of the section of your fanbase that blindly hate Goku after watching your episodes because they can't be bothered to watch the actual show & think for themselves &/or don't realize what you write is strictly a parody) after Z starts, & some other things. Don't get me wrong, Kirran can be a good source of comedy or knowledge, but I think he needs to check his ego at the door sometimes. Grant's at least a good conversationalist & keeps a good demeanor about him, so I think he balances out most of the time. Lani, I know what to expect & he & I seem to have similar viewpoints on some things, so I like him as a host of the channel. If it's mainly their delivery, fine, but sometimes the commentary comes off like there's no hyperbole at all.

And to GT, yes, it's not better than Super. It can be entertaining, but the overabundance of focus on Goku, making Goku a kid just to nerf him, Pan's endless uselessness unless the plot requires her actually being useful, Goten & trunks not fusing to make a teenaged Gotenks, every character by Goku being useless, etc, at least Super's been giving a lot of them either better characterizations or going out of its way to let some of them shine, which I think is the main reason it's put way ahead of Super at a base level. Even early on, I'd say it's still better than GT is, minus some rough starts that weren't the faults of the staff & were more so faults of Toei's harsh mandates that they had them under. Though, as far as I can tell, it's just Kirran who wholeheartedly thinks Super's worse than GT. Grant, I think does, but I don't think he's stated it as affirmatively as Kirran, & Lani, I don't think, likes GT more than Super. He just has criticisms of the show, & understandable ones at that.

I think the first 30 or so episodes of GT are better than the first 30 or so episodes of Super. After that, Super takes it clearly.

Speaking of DBZA in relation to Super (he said, in an attempt to shift the subject onto something slightly more relevant to the thread), I think it's funny that the abridged Hatchiyak special is coming out the same week Super featured a monster that was basically an expy of Hatchiyak.

Hell, now I think about it, this basically happened last year too! We got Abridged Broly at Christmas, which was around the time we got our first sneak peek at Super's female Broly character. Funnily enough, I think Kale ended up having more in common with TFS' Broly than she did with actual Broly, being a meek character who was triggered into a berserker rage.

Really depends on what you're talking about. Like, I personally think that the Battle of Gods Arc is the lowest point of the series so far, because it retold the movie, had TERRIBLE pacing, & didn't add anything new with the extra time added. From there, the arcs have gotten progressively better in terms of storytelling. Like, I like the TV version of Resurrection F a LOT more than the movie, mostly because it should've been a TV arc anyways. And the arcs have only gotten better afterwards, though there ARE some missteps & I still think arcs in anime like Dragon Ball ARE better when binged rather than watched once a week.

Well, I mean, the dubs of Kai & Super & the sub of Super have had coincidences like that. Like, the week Vegeta got his shit stomped in by 18 in Kai when the earlier arcs ran on Toonami, I believe, was the same day that he got his shit stomped in by Hit in Super in Japan, so it's definitely nothing new, it's just specifically like this.

By the way, I love that we get 2 pieces of DB-related content today, Christmas day. First MistareFusion & his DB Dissection series getting to the first Cooler movie & the new special from TFS. If I believed in a god, I'd say that being's finally in a good mood after a year of not being in one.

FighterZ is not out yet, so it was either Budokai 3 or Infinite World.
