Let's make the Greatest. Power Level List. Ever.

Most of those levels come from the "Dragon Ball Guide Book," an unofficial guide published by some third party somewhere in Japan. It has become the "ultimate evil" to the aspiring power level lister, as it is the only published source (that I've heard of) that lists levels for all three series.

What makes it evil? Almost everything in the list is inaccurate or downright wrong. It first came onto the internet through the now-dead site "Saiyanz Pride." It has duped many.

Yes, I'm something of a power level historian. In fact, I am one of the few who know that the "Super Saiyan Mystic Gohan blows up the world" rumor originated from a power level website (yes, a whole website deicated to power levels) back in 1999. The author made a flippant comment on why Mystic Gohan doesn't go Super Saiyan, and someone took him seriously. The website has since disappeared.

The Saiyan Saga

Raditz - 1200

Goku's Kamehameha = 924
Piccolo's 1st Special Beam Cannon - 1330
Piccolo's 2nd Special Beam Cannon - 1440
Gohan - 1307 (Enraged)

All of the Power Levels above are Stated in the Manga...so there is no argument against them. They are absolute.

Saibamen - 1200 (each)

Yamcha - 1500
Chaotzu - 1000
Tien - 1800
Krillin - 1600
Piccolo - 2000
Gohan - 900 (Afraid to fight)

For this particular set, several are stated in the Manga...However, The Z Warriors were all holding back. I listed what their "True" Power Levels would have been at this point. They are also rounded to the nearest hundred to avoid cluttered numbers.

Nappa - 6000

Nappa's Power Level is never stated in the Manga, so this seems to be a fitting number since no one even came close.

Chaotzu Body Bomb - 2000
Tien's Kikoho = 3600

Gohan - 1400 (Willing to fight)
Gohan - 2800 (Enraged)

Chaotzu and Tiens Attacks aren't necessary, but I like to include thier last legacy before death. Gohan, in the period of time that he was fighting activly before Piccolo's death, was obviously higher then his wussy scared PL. His Enraged PL matches his Masenko blast...I figure that since he didn't charge the blast, it was about the same as his PL before doing the blast. He obviously got stronger from anger.

Goku - 8000
Nappa - 7500

Goku Kaioken = 16,000

At first, Goku made sport of Nappa, but when Nappa charged up that thin white aura around himself, Goku said the fight would go on for a long time without the Kaioken. The power levels were close, but Goku still had an advantage since his Kamehameha without charging matched a Semi-charged mouthblast from Nappa. Oh, and Kaioken is stated to double power.

Vegeta - 18,000

Goku Kaioken x3 = 24,000

Vegeta's Galick Gun = 38,000
Goku Kaioken x3's Kamehameha = 38,000
Goku Kaioken x4's Kamehameha = 50,000

The non-blast PL's, as far as I'm concerned, are perfectly accurate. The Blast PL's are all rough estimations but I'm sure are pretty close to what they should be. Vegeta only matched Goku because Vegeta charged longer than Goku.

Vegeta - 14,000
Oozaru Vegeta - 110,000

It was obvious that Vegeta was heavily battle damaged and drained. The Moon Ball attack also required great Ki to create, so that drained his Ki Further. He was still more than powerful enough to own Goku, though.

Gohan - 1400
Krillin - 1600

Although they were onlly half-senzu's, thats still a week and a half of food and rest. Enough to fully heal, I say.

Vegeta - 9,000 (Weakened more from Losing Tail)
Gohan - 4000

In all of Dragonball, Goku always gained a power increase from getting his tail back, so I figure losing it would have the reverse effect and take away power. Oh, and his eye was blasted out. Gohan was able to challenge Vegeta and get some good hits, but Vegeta was still over twice his strenth in my opinion, so Gohan's full fledged power looks right here.

Spirit Bomb - 7,000

It was enough to kick the crap out of Vegeta but leave him alive.

Vegeta - 2000 (Extremely Weakened by Spirit Bomb)
Oozaru Gohan - 6000

Vegeta had little power left and all of his challengers were greatly weakened/weaker than him still. Gohan was beaten up pretty badly from battling Vegeta before and thus his PL was around 600 IMO...but Oozaru changed things up a bit.


The Namek Saga

Kuwi - 18,000
Vegeta - 24,000

Namekian Fighters - 1000 (Supressed)
Namekian Fighters - 3000

All Stated

Dodoria - 20,000

Gohan - 1500
Krillin - 1500

Although Gohan and Krillin were more powerful than this, they maintained this level while not in heavy, serious battle. Since they were never in any serious battle before the Guru Powerup...this is the only PL that need be listed for them. Dodoria is a rought Esimation...he was stronger than Kuwi but weaker than Vegeta, Nuff' Said.

Zarbon - 22,000
Monster Zarbon - 30,000

Vegeta - 40,000 (Zenkai Powerup)

Zarbons base form was only a little bit below Vegeta, and his Monster form made swiss cheese out of Vegeta. However, Vegeta's Zenkai owned all over Monster Zarbon even worse than Zarbon owned on Vegeta. This looks right to me.


The Ginyu Saga

Guldo - 10,000

Krillin - 13,000
Gohan - 16,000

Guldo was stated at 10,000. Krillin and Gohan were said to be "Over 10,000" and I believe Gohan >>> Krillin at the time.

Recoome - 50,000
Vegeta - 35,000

Vegeta's power was decreased because he literally had not slept in days. He was able to harm Recoome with a gigantic Ki blast, but Recoome still had him pretty overpowered.

Goku - 1000 (Supressed)
Jeice - 50,000
Burtur - 50,000

All the members of the Ginyu Force, excluding Ginyu and Guldo, were said to be roughly equal. Although they had OTHER advantages, their Ki was not enough apart to be noted differently.

Ginyu - 120,000
Goku - 90,000

Goku Kaioken - 180,000

Ginyu estimates Goku's max to be around 85,000 and when Goku uses a Kaioken, his PL goes up to 180,000 (stated). The only logical base power to reflect this is 90,000. Jeice also notes the Ginyu is "barely 120,000" so its just easy to put him at that, although it would imply him to be slightly weaker.

Ginyu in Goku - 23,000

Krillin - 26,000
Gohan - 32,000

Vegeta - 200,000 (Zenkai Powerup)

Nail - 42,000
Freeza - 530,000

Ginyu is Goku was Stated at 23,000 by scouter reading, but later on his power level rose. I didn't feel the need to estimate that power level since it wasn't very long before Vegeta own'd him. Krillin was able to beat up Ginyu in Goku which shows that his Power level is above that of 23,000, yet earlier he was just "Over 10,000" which indicates below 20,000. This is explained because later on Vegeta notes the Krillin and Gohan keep getting stronger, which is most likely a side effect of Guru's Power up (AKA its a powerup that keeps on giving...). Also, Vegeta got a mondo huge Zenkai from Recoome beating him down, because he pwn'd Jeice and Ginyu with ease. Nail and Freeza's PL's are both Stated.


The Freeza Saga

Freeza - 530,000
Vegeta - 450,000

Freeza's Power Level is stated at 530,000 (as mentioned above) and yet Vegeta was on the same level of this power. Although Freeza seemed to have the upperhand, Vegeta was within 100,000 of this. The only logical explanation is the combination of his huge Zenkai from earlier and the fact that he took a nap, and catching up on all that rest must have brought him back to full power, meaning the Zenkai from before increased his strength by more than tenfold. Although this seems unlikely, it is most likely a characteristic of Saiyans in this power range, since they are nearing the minimum requirement to become Super Saiyan.

Freeza - 1,060,000 (Transformed)

He stated his Power Level was "Over a Million" and the exact doubling of his first forms PL is "Over a Million" so there ya go.

Gohan - 55,000
Krillin - 40,000

Guru Powerup, the gift that keeps on giving.

Gohan - 825,000 (Enraged)

Although Freeza is more powerful than this, Gohan caught him off guard and didn't do all that much damage to him when it was over. Case Closed.

Piccolo - 78,000
Nail - 42,000

Piccolo synced w/ Nail - 1,200,000

Piccolo and Kami's PL's added together x10 equals...My argument for Piccolos high level is that Nail was "impressed" by Piccolo's power. The Fused Power is needing to be a little higher than Freeza's and the having the equation stated earlier seems convenient.

Freeza - 1,300,000 (Powered Up)
Piccolo - 1,500,000 (Weighted Clothing Removed)

When Freeza powered up in his Seconed Form, he smacked Piccolo around a bit, showing dominance in strength..but when Piccolo removes his weighted clothing, he also states that he was holding back...this spurrs Freeza on to Transform.

Freeza - 2,000,000 (Transformed)

He was strong enough to make sport of Piccolo, but I dont feel he went above 2 Million. Just my opinion, really...

Gohan - 1,900,000

He showed enough strength to scare Freeza into transforming again...so he must be near his power, but not higher.

Freeza - 2,250,000 (25%)
Vegeta - 1,800,000

Vegeta was obviously Stronger than Piccolo's full power, and Freeza was stronger than Vegeta and his 3rd form...but not by much. He only used as much power as he needed, and that was enough for the situation, since Gohan didn't get enraged again.

Goku - 250,000 (Zenkai)
Goku Kaioken x10 - 2,250,000

Goku was stated to be fighting at Kaioken x10 for the majority of the fight, despite his lacking of an Aura. He was evenly matched with Freeza before frieza powered up to 50%.

Freeza - 4,500,000 (50%)
Goku Kaioken x20 - 4,500,000

Again, Freeza powered up and doubled his Strength, and after a time, Goku doubled his Kaioken...so they were even again. Whoopty doo.

Super Goku - 10,000,000
Freeza - 9,000,000 (100%)

At first, Goku own'd on Freeza 50%, but when Freeza was fully powered up, they were very VERY closely matched for a time, but Freeza's Ki drained much faster and eventually Goku had a very large advantage in power.


The Trunks Saga

Cyborg Freeza - 4,750,000
King Cold - 5,000,000

Freeza's Physical Appearance matches the size of his 50% form throughout his being Robotic and Gohan also says "He can get a lot stronger! This is nothing!" so he OBVIOUSLY wasn't at full power and never showed any signs of powering up. King Cold was stated to be a "greater Ki" than Freeza, so there.

Super Trunks - 10,000,000

Although the Statement "He has the same Ki as my father!" can be taken differently, it is most likely that he was the same Power Level.


The Android Saga

#19 - 2,800,000
#20 - 6,200,000

Goku - 575,000
Super Goku - 11,500,000

For Goku, I increased his Base more then his Super Saiyan form, since it seemed it had not undergone a big increase so much as his base did.

Super Goku - 2,300,000 (With Heart Disease)

The Heart disease took its toll fast...he was able to hurt #19 but once he started getting absorbed it was all over.

Vegeta - 4,000,000
Super Vegeta - 12,000,000

His Base was supposedly in between #19 and #20, but with Goku's Ki #19 was close to Vegeta, so to avoid any chance and to show off, he transformed. Piccolo said Super Vegeta's Ki seemed stronger than Super Goku's (Full Power), so I put him a tad higher.

Piccolo - 8,500,000

Krillin Stated Piccolo was On par with the Super Saiyans and he was able to beat Gero pretty easily, although one could argue that it was because he could increase his Ki in bursts...just look at the battle. Piccolo was owning all around.

#18 - 20,000,000
#17 - 25,000,000

#18 wasn't putting her all into the fight against Vegeta and still winning. She could have been at 75% and she would have still beat him down like so, which seems about right. #17 is stated in the Manga to be stronger than #18, so I adapted to that.


The Imperfect Cell Saga

Piccolo Fused W/ Kami - 23,500,000
Cell - 11,000,000

Piccolo's Power Level is based on #17's Power Level, but he was wearing Weighted Clothing so it was supressed a little bit. Cell was unable to harm Piccolo and was scared of the Super Saiyans, meaning they were a little stronger or equal to him.

Piccolo - 25,000,000
#17 - 25,000,000

Stated to be Equal.

Cell - 28,000,000
#16 - 28,000,000

Piccolo was tired and #17 was overconfident against Cell. His Actual power was not a great league ahead of their own. #16 was stated to be equal to Cell.


The Perfect Cell Saga

Imperfect Cell - 42,000,000

In this case, his biggest powerup was speed. The big dose of Power from #17 didn't come until he achieved his Perfect Form.

Ultra Vegeta - 65,000,000
Ultra Trunks - 60,000,000

Vegeta was much stronger than Imperfect Cell and made sport of him. He noted that Trunks was almost as strong as him, but it would make no difference to someone as weak as Cell.

Perfect Cell - 100,000,000

Strong Enough to take No damage from a Kick containing the full force of Ultra Vegeta's Power.

Ultra Trunks 2 - 120,000,000

Was stated to be greater then Cell's Power by a large amount, but unable to actually hit him.


The Cell Games

Super Goku - 70,000,000 (50%)

When he powered up at Korins Tower, Vegeta had the reaction that Kakarot had surpassed him again. Goku also mentioned that to be around half of his full Power.

Super Goku - 140,000,000 (100%)
Perfect Cell - 160,000,000

Super Goku is already explained. Regarding Cell, Korin noted that Cell had depths of power he did not explore against Trunks, and could get much stronger. This is proven when Super Goku, who is stronger than Ultra Trunks 2, fights inferiorly to Perfect Cell.

Super Gohan - 150,000,000

Stated to be stronger than Goku by Goku himself. The Margin is not known, but he was still inferior to Perfect Cell.

Cell Juniors - 100,000,000

Cell stated that the Cell Juniors were as strong as him...but that doesn't make much sense so I made it so they were equal to his Power Level when he was first born. It makes more sense this way, most people will agree.

Ultra Vegeta - 95,000,000
Ultra Trunks - 88,000,000
Piccolo - 75,000,000

All trained in the Room of Spirit and time and fought decently against the Cell Juniors. The rest of the fighters are not noted because Goku was in crappy condition and everyone else was extremely weak.

Super Gohan 2 - 300,000,000

Stated in a NY "interview" (rumored to have never happened) with Akira Toriyama to be 300 Million...so there ya go.

Buff Cell - 200,000,000
Imperfect Cell - 42,000,000
Cell's Body Bomb - 168,000,000

Buff Cell only appeared for a short time, and was obviously stronger than his thin form, but very slow. Gohan own'd him. Imperfect Cell is easy to figure out...The Body Bomb was needed to be strong enough to Kill a weakened Goku and the inhabitants of King Kai's planet. Nuff' said.

Super Perfect Cell - 250,000,000

Was much stronger than before, but not stronger than Super Gohan 2.

Super Gohan 2 - 175,000,000 (Injured)

He originally said his PL had been cut in half, but he later said he had eggagerated. This seems like a good balance.

Father Son Kamehameha - 400,000,000
Super Perfect Cell's Kamehameha - 400,000,000

The Beams were equal, but Cell was holding back, waiting until the right moment to unleash and kill Gohan. When he became distracted by Vegeta, he reduced his defenses and power, and Gohan stepped up his beams power a notch. End of Cell.


The Great Saiyaman Saga

Gohan - 15,000,000
Goten - 9,000,000
Videl - 8

Videl was a little bit stronger then an average human. Base Gohan was stronger than Base Goten, IMO. I really don't have proof here.

The Great Saiyaman - 10,000,000

The incredible Cheesiness of the outfit and act of the Great Saiyaman weakened Gohans strength by 1/3'rd. This isn't really true, but I felt like making it so anyway.

Super Goten - 54,000,000

Gohan feared Goten might actually overpower him, but Gohan still had an edge...just not as big as he would want.


The World Tournament Saga

Goten and Trunks were very closely matched, but Trunks showed a ever slight edge. Regarding Super Forms, There was still a small gap, slightly widened. In their base forms, they were a little weaker than #18 (individually) but as Super Saiyans, Trunks risked destroying #18 with a moderatly powerful Ki Blast.

Videl's strength wasn't increased from learning to fly, just better used. Spopovich beat the living crap out of her, so no more need be said here.

The Babidi Saga

Kibito did not seem impressed by Gohan's strength until he went Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan 2, indicating he was most likely stronger than Gohan's Base. Supreme Kai was more powerful then Kibito, obviously, but still below Super Gohan, IMO.

Krillin - 80,000

Piccolo was stated to be weaker than the Base Saiyans, so... Krillin's PL is just a rough guess as to where it may have landed after all the years.

Dabura - 275,000,000

Goku said he was around Super Perfect Cell's strength, but later notes he is stronger then he originally thought.

Vegeta - 70,000,000

Supreme Kai thought Pui Pui was incredibly powerfull, but had never fought him and could not sense power levels, thus clearing any confusion you had.

Goku was weaker than Vegeta, but Super Goku was stronger than Super Vegeta. The Stated SS Multiplier for Goku in the Babidi Saga is 3.75. I did the math, and it works.

Gohan recieved a Zenkai by having his power Totally drained.

Majin Buu's Full Power is not used much, so it may seem likes he's not that strong, but he is. He just toys around a lot. Super Gohan 2 recovered his strength by Taking a Senzu and Supreme Kai never lost power in the first place. Dabura was heavily battle damaged from Gohan and Majin Buu in his final stand to defeat Buu.

Majin Vegeta - 450,000,000

Super Goku 3 - 1,800,000,000

He was stronger than Buu at first but as time went on his power drained more and more, thus resulting in him being weaker eventually.

Gotenks - 400,000,000

Fought against Buu and Survived for at least 10 minutes, which is about as Good as Majin Vegeta, putting him in that range of power.

Super Gotenks - 2,000,000,000

Was stated by Goku to be able to defeat Fat Buu "For Sure" and to be stronger than himself at Super Saiyan 3.

Evil Buu - 900,000,000
Mister Buu - 500,000,000

Together, their strength must equal Fat Buu. Evil Buu proved to be considerably stronger than Mister Buu in battle as well.


The Fusion Saga

Super Buu - 5,600,000,000

Was much stronger than Fat Buu. Reasons not really known, but its obvious enough.

Gotenks - 480,000,000
Super Gotenks - 2,400,000,000
Super Gotenks 3 - 7,200,000,000

Gotenks training in the Room of Spirit and Time seemed to be aimed at increasing his Super Saiyan Powers moreso then his Base Power. He maxed out his Super Saiyan powers and Ascended past to Super Saiyan 3. In this form, he beat up Buu pretty bad, showing dominance in all factors except elasticity and regeneration.

Gohan - 9,400,000,000

Beat up Super Buu like he was childs play...this is also a fair balance for his Next Enemy's Power Level as well.

Super Buu 2 - 12,800,000,000

Able to beat up Chao Gohan pretty easily. The Number is Super Gotenks 3 + Super Buu.

Super Buu 1.5 - 5,650,000,000

Only had Goten, Trunks and Piccolo absorbed. Both kids were at Base.

Super Buu 3 - 15,000,000,000

The Mightist Majin to ever live...Chao Gohans PL + Super Buu's PL. End of Story.

Super Vegito - 40,000,000,000

Beat the living crap out of Super Buu 3 like a rag doll, repeatedly. There is no question here! Oh, His PL is Super Vegeta 2 and Super Goku 2 Averaged Together and multiplied by 100.


Kid Buu Saga

Buff Buu - 6,000,000,000
Kid Buu - 900,000,000

At first Goku and Vegeta paniced because Buu got stronger, but then his strenght plummeted and he became Kid Buu. They laughed at how weak he was, but they didn't realize he was insane and stronger than them.

Super Vegeta 2 - 350,000,000
Mister Buu - 500,000,000

Super Goku 3 dead even with Kid Buu...but he was unable to reach his full power. He stated that at his Full Power, he could have easily defeated Kid Buu, but he couldn't do it in the living realm.

Chao Genki Dama - Absolutely Immeasurable.

Oh please, like you can accuratly guess this. DBZ's world Population is never mentioned at any point, does not line up with reality, and the estimatin of the Z Warriors...Yeah, there is no accurate number.

But remember, I made this quite some time ago and will not argue in favor of it anymore, as most of them are changed. I can post my new Saiyan Saga ones but I'm trying to withhold the rest.

Side note: Chibi Mystic Gohan is doing the Dragonball PL's for MFG through me, so he's involved too, although we will never agree on SS multipliers.
