Is this really Toei Animation's account or someone else took their name?!
NO, because pay closer attention.

The account's name IS NOT ToeiAnimation it's "ToeiAnimatlon"
Now that you mention it... it does say Animatlon...!!
I don't know why people didn't figure that out. :?

You propably noticed that all of this mess happened after the announcment of the Dragon Box by FUNimation!

Did they make an agreament behind the walls to take down all Dragon Ball-related videos from Youtube in exchange for the Dragon Box...?!!

As for One Piece episodes... didn't FUNimation restart their Online Streaming of the episodes?!
If such were the case, FUNimation would probably be taking these down on Toei's behalf rather than Toei doing the work themselves, ignoring the content of the videos, and not even getting to the full episodes until their third sweep through.

Well, my One Piece videos are being hit now...

I've gotten a Copyright Claim by Toei Animation and I have to take one of my Videos Down.

It happened right after the video hit 5000 Views.

I still believe they are targeting the wrong places.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

Yeah, My YT account is SPECIFICALLY set up to be, basically, a Fan giving Free Advertising for the FUNimation One Piece sets. I WANT these sets to sell, and FUNimation's website has Nothing in terms of One Piece Clips from the new DVDs, only One Trailer for each set.

I made a Video In response.
I mention Dragon Ball and Team Four Star in it too

So far, none of my videos have been targeted. I guess it pays to be unpopular sometimes.

Yeah, though I also posted short scenes which probably were the ones to be taken down, followed by the entire account. :P

Does anyone besides Toei support this? Can you honestly say most of these accounts were hurting anyone?
If challenge had a taste, you'd be quite delicious.

Even a Bleach-centric channel was taken down today. (Animelover5790) I honestly have no clue what the exact numbers were, so I just guessed.

Anyway, these channels really aren't hurting anyone. If they're doing anything, it's promoting the shows!
Next quest: Start collecting Dragon Ball Super Blu-Rays whenever season sets get released. Also the Super Manga!

The users hosting entire episodes, dubbed or subbed, SHOULD be dealt with. Maybe not by shutting down the entire account, but at least deleting the offending videos. Offering entire episodes ARE a problem for the companies, because people will just watch them online instead of purchasing the legitimate releases. That's costing the company money and is bad.

However, parody series that happen to use chopped-up, heavily edited pieces of the footage, dubbed over and out of order, should be left alone. They are not something that the company can or does offer themselves. They are not an alternative to buying their DVDs. They are not harming them in any way. In fact, it's the opposite. It serves as free advertising for the company and can, and has, actually draw people into the franchise as a whole.

It's just a parody. A creative fanwork. If there's not some sort of law or clause somewhere protecting them, then there should be.

I don't suppose anyone would know where I could find the video 'A British DBZ Dub Parody!' anywhere else do they? I wanted to show it to some friends and watch it again myself... Damn hilarious...

Don't you guys know how to save your favorite Youtube vids? It's just common sense. Practically everything gets taken down eventually. Either by the poster, Youtube, or another company.

Well honestly I've never thought of it before as no video on there has made me laugh as hard.
I just realized it might be in my cache still.

Damn, Toei got me, too. I had a video from Cooler's Revenge on my profile. :(

Well, I haven't been hit yet. I suppose I'm only delaying the inevitable. If by some miracle I get a video removed but don't get suspended, I'll erase all of my videos. I need that channel to post some videos soon.

I think for now you should:

1- Private your Dragon Ball videos on your accounts.

2- Stop uploading anything new.

2- Create backup accountss on other sites and upload your videos there.

I made a backup account on Metacafe while privating the ones on my Youtube one.

And... so far so good.
