Ok, I see where you're coming from. I think it looks like it's a tad smaller? Maybe. But you could be right.

They got the hair and clothes colour right this time but as you said it's normal Goku body, also white trim is missing on the boots.

Anyway I don't own any SH FGs but that Shenron will be my first!

I don't own any SH Figuarts either.
But I know I want Shenron!

But I feel I may be opening Pandora's box if I get Shenron, I know i'll want to add more figures.

Meanwhile SSJ4 continues to elude us despite at least 2 perfect opportunities to release him.

Yeah it'll happen. I bought Beerus just to have one/thought he was cool, now I'm eyeing so many more. Anyone know of more info on the Shenlong figure? I've seen them display it before and it is quite large, I'd imagine it will be pushing the $80-100USD mark?

I feel like it's going to be more if Shenron actually does get released.

Did some digging on the SH Figuarts Shenron.
I can't 100% confirm this informaton, but...
Apparently it's an October release date for 9,000 JPY. (approx. $80 USD or $110 CAD)

I desperately want Majin Vegeta. I hope that when it's finalized they give him different hair to signify he's a SS2 (though, Vegeta's hair never really looked too different in that form), but this almost makes me want the 2.0 Super Saiyan Vegeta so that he can also just be a regular Buu arc Vegeta (albeit with veiny arms).

At least, I hope we get SS2 Goku at some point, since his hair's noticeably different at least (they could do a SS1 and SS2 Goku hair in one pack, and they could share faces).

If the Kaioken Goku looked more like the beefed up version during the Kamehameha vs. Galick Gun scene from the anime i'd be more inclined to purchase it.

It's basically just a recolored Goku.

Regardless, never for that price anyway, just on principal.

Unless I was major collector and a multi-millionaire.

I'm assuming these are just some of the first resellers to hit the market, so testing what they'll get. Once more people start posting theirs prices will fall.

I mean, the Freeza arc Goku figure has been sitting at a comfortable $200 for a while now.

Oh, Rare figuarts have definitely increased value many times over, no doubt. I'm just waiting to see what the market is for them right now. (Especially once the world tour continues to other locations and sells more figures) A few eBay auctions are coming to close while sitting ~150-170usd range. Curious to see what their final price will be.

If I am honest I have never been a fan of any Bandai DB products, the closest I have come to liking one of their products is there HG line but only being under 10 cms tall each (and the fact that they are selling for $100 a pop for a set of 4 figures!!) kind of defeats the whole purpose of them being highly detailed.

I can tell by this that you're probably only checking the US retailer side of things, who tend to jack up the prices of items that don't have a dedicated distributor and have to import the items themselves in order to sell them.

To use an example, the Goku Black arc figures released back in March were 4500 yen and came in two sets of four figures. Current conversion pits that at about $40 USD, give or take per set, so roughly $10 per figure. They were also P-Bandai exclusive figures, which means they aren't a normal countrywide retail release, also meaning less stock produced.

Scientist's agonize over the attempt to achieve perfection! That's the kind of creatures we are! That makes A LOT of sense now, cheers! I saw the ¥4500 when they were announced but figured it was a mistake as I couldn't find a single site selling even some Japanese sites for that much.
Now that P Bandai has expanded to U.S/Can guess there is a better chance that the Universal Survival arc HG's will be available? I live U.K so it doesn't help much but if their more available to U.S folks then maybe they won't be so much on the market.

I also haven't been able to find a single unboxing for these. I guess people just sold them on then or trying to?

I'm wondering how much of Figurerise Standard Trunks' undershirt there's going to be. I'm hoping at worst it just has a couple of pegs for the jacket, because if so, I could fill them in and use it on Figurerise Vegeta, and then repaint it to be Buu arc Vegeta. I'm expecting it to be very incomplete and hollow under the jacket area though, but I'm cautiously optimistic. If it has enough molding under the jacket, then it would also be possible to remove the jacket, and slightly mod Goku's arms to have jacket-less Trunks.

I'm also incredibly disappointed that Figurerise Blue Goku is using the current Super outfit, rather than the prototype's RoF one. I hoped it would be RoF so that it would be a quick repaint into End of Z Goku.

New Figure-rise Standard reveals:
Image
Image

Kuririn's belt's a bit large, and is brow ridge is too defined, but at least sandpaper will solve the latter problem. I'm mostly excited because most of his body is reused from Gohan, which means a Movie 9 Gohan will now be an extremely simple custom! That will make the Figure-rise Gohan even more worthwhile. It's also noticeable that the head's an early, 3D printed prototype, so the eyebrows may be worked on some more before it's released. This line's getting really good at cheaper Figuarts stand ins, since Kuririn, 17 and 18 all fetch high prices now.

Goku's pretty good too, but when will they stop beating around the bush and give us Saiyan-Namek arc Goku in either line (that's not an exclusive like the Figuarts keep being)? I imagine we'll get a Figurerise Standard Saiyan arc Goku and Vegeta at some point though. I feel like Kuririn's belt is oversized because they plan on reusing the two parts in front for that Goku. In fact, it would probably be a simple matter to glue that piece on to the regular Goku model, and I might do so since I'll get two Kuririns. The only thing I'm concerned about now is whether the Kame symbol will be a sticker (which will never work on those folds), or if they'll provide waterslide decals for them.

We're also getting more effect parts:

Also, a whole new line called "Dragon Ball Mecha Collection":

Figurerise Standard 18 comes with a bunch of eye stickers which also have much smaller, better proportioned irises (except for sticker #1, which seems to match the plastic eyes, which seems like a waste to me):

I'm guessing 17 does as well.

I hate the shade of orange they're using for Goku and Kuririn's gi's on the figurerise stuff.
