Peter Kelamis... The Comedian?

Post by SSJ2bardock » Mon Oct 19, 2009 2:07 am

Not sure if this is news or not, but it was the first time I'd seen it and I was surprised. Peter Kelamis is also a stand up comedian!

Just one of those things that makes you think "Huh, would you look at that".

Didn't think he was very funny, but hey, I guess he's trying.

Yeah, I remember this being mentioned some time ago. He's got a good vocal range even as a stand-up comedian. That's probably why I like his Goku. He wasn't trying to imitate Corlett in anyway and he's as close to a male Nozawa as it gets without sounding too ridiculous.

You didn't already know that?

Peter Kelamis was always my favorite English dub Goku. I mean, he wasn't great, but he at least captured some of Goku's childish goofiness. He was good in the movies, at least.

He also voices Rolf from Ed Edd n' Eddy, a.k.a. "The last good thing on Cartoon Network USA."

Well, I kinda count Adult Swim as its own mostly-separate thing at this point.

Even Adult Swim really isn't that great anymore.

The only thing keeping Adult Swim alive is their Saturday Anime block.

Everything else you can see on FOX. :?

Anyway, pretty cool to see that Kelamis does stand-up. :)

Oh, I've seen this guy before. Had no idea he was DBZ-related. He's not bad.

50 actually (including The Ocean Group's later dub).

Here's Peter Kelamis' official site. It' no longer available, so I linked to the archived version.

He's also had small parts on the various Stargate series.

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0445389/

Just small one-episode parts in SG1. But in the newest series, Stargate Universe, he's actually been a constant guy. I'm sure he'll be one of the first to die though  In one of the episodes, he had a little something on his face to make him look like an alien lol. http://www.gateworld.net/omnipedia/char ... ncoyle.jpg

And he has an entire comedy special on Youtube. It's like the first result for Peter Kelamis.

Speak for yourself dude. Plenty of us hold the Ocean episodes dear to us, being our introduction to the series. Sure they're horrible looking back now, but I don't shun them for it. I didn't know the difference back then.

And I'm pretty sure Kelamis was the first Goku I heard. Seeing as I started somewhere in the Namek Saga back when it was in syndication. 8)
Can't you see? He's the man. Let me hear you applaud. He's more than a man! He's a shiny golden god!

Wow! Kelamis has always been my favourite Goku (he channels Masako better than anybody else), but I never knew he was so damn funny! Watch the whole thing, brilliant!

I just watched it, too! He's quite funny. :D

I've never heard of Megas X.L.R and I hated Samurai Jack (it was like watching FUNi's dub of the Freeza arc!). That's probably about when I stopped watching Cartoon Network. And now Toonami is no more... :(

Those ended long before EEnE did.

(And Foster's was the last good thing on CN USA, but that's offtopic.)

Apparently he did a show with Dane Cook where Dane Cook stormed off or something.
