It's in Daizenshuu 1, but it's supposed to be set up vertically, so someone probably just edited it around into a huge square.

It was first made for a Jump Multimedia World pamphlet, and re-printed in Daizenshuu 1 as Chuquita stated. It's noted in the Complete Works Commentaryof Daizenshuu 1 over at Kanzentai.

As others have said, it is official. It's not fanart or anything. I thought you meant "canon" when you asked, though. Truthfully, I have no clue. However, there's no reason why this couldn't be thrown into the ten days before the Cell Game or something, though.

Yeah, I kinda know that. Just stating that the text wasn't officially done.

This is the part where I am lured in by the responses and ask "So... what's in these images?"

Panel 1: Vegeta angrily yells out his Big Bang Attack.

Panel 2: Goku, shocked and scared, screams that's he's going to lose.

Panel 3: A jubilant Vegeta cries out that finally, he has done it, he has defeated Kakkarot.

Panel 4: It turns out they're playing on a Super Nintendo. Vegeta laughing eagerly, pressing buttons while Goku can only clench his eyes shut in dismay, holding his joypad.

Super Vegeta was probably spamming Super Vegeta's KI kick in Butoden 1.

Could someone make a 80X80 of Vegeta laughing with the controller in his hand?

It'd actually be cool if we could get more info on the Jump Multimedia World from which this came; which I guess was Jump's 25th anniversary event. If the pamphlet had this, and was anything like Toei's Anime/Manga Fest program pamphlets, it must have some other neat-o stuff. I know the pamphlet had a poster... :o

Yeah but what do you mean by that? As in by the official author (Toriyama)? Official company (Shueisha)? Officially canonical? Or just an official product and not fan-made?

It was made by the official author. So, yes is the answer to the question "is this comic official?"

So, what was the original text in this comic, translated in English (since I don't trust fan translations)?

Everyone here is a fan. I guess I don't understand your request.

Do you just want someone that you know and are aware of to translate it so you can place a little more confidence in it...? 'Cuz that makes a little more sense if you phrase it that way :P.

No, I mean some fan translations aren't exactly reliable (at least the ones that I've seen). I want one that's translated directly in English, so I know it's the real thing.

Basically, what you said. I'd be able to trust it more if it came from someone like Herms.
