Best figurines to collect (going to Japan)

Post by VxG<3er » Mon Sep 27, 2010 2:23 pm

Hey there! <3

I'm traveling to Japan in February and since I have recently started to begin properly collecting figurines (especially of Vegeta) I was wondering if anyone had any advice on where to go for a great DBZ experience while I'm there and the types of figurines I should be looking out for. Anyone got anything awesome...? I'd love to see a pic! Hmmm, I think that's it!

Thanks guys! XD <3

I have been to Tokyo (that is where I presume you are going) a few times and the original advice Herms gave me has worked out very well when looking for DBZ figures. I would recommend upstairs at Nakano Broadway and go for a walk around Ahikabara. The Kotobukiya store has some DBZ goodies upstairs but there are plenty of other stores all around there where you will find some gems.
As to what figures to go for, it depends on what you prefer. Just look out for DBZ and pic what you like.

Go to Mike's upcoming Japanese toy releases thread and search around on the last few pages... should find some stuff you'd like to get.

Also check out some Banpresto HQDX releases... you may like those.

If you're going to Japan, and specifically looking for DBZ figures, mind doing me and Payne a favor?

Look for this set, and maybe PM or post how much you find it for.

(wtf happened to dragonballtoys.com? I can't find a pic of the back of the set. >_<)

Payne will probably want one if you'd be cool enough to pick one up for someone else (edit: just saw that you're from Australia and Payne is not... that might suck for shipping costs, but I'll leave that to Payne), but I'm only curious as to how much they'd be if you came across one. I don't have any money at the moment lol.
Can't you see? He's the man. Let me hear you applaud. He's more than a man! He's a shiny golden god!

I'd reccommend HSCF figures. Also, if you see any, S.H. Figuarts are cool.

Down the end of Ahikabara there is a store that has the Figuarts line for 2,000 yen each.

VxG<3er, please learn to edit your posts. There is no reason to post make six consecutive posts in the same thread. You may want to read the rules as well. Especially the first rule.
