Famous People and Dragon Ball
Just found this "slightly old" article about the Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal and his interest in Dragon Ball
http://www.cnngo.com/tokyo/play/rafael- ... nis-216638
I find it interesting of how much of a fan he was and still is.
List of known Famous people who like dragon ball:
Rafael Nadal - Tennis Player
Carlos Newton - UFC Fighter
Jackie Chan - Martial Artist / Actor
James Masters - Actor/Musician
"Soulja Boy" - That guy who keeps doing the "Superman" to pick up (?)
Bill Bailey - Comedian
Will Smith - Rapper/Actor/God etc
RZA - Rapper/Producer
WuTang - Artist
Robert Kirkman - Comic Book Writer
Mangaka:
Tite Kubo - Bleach
Kishimoto Masashi - Naruto
Oda Eiichirō - One Piece

Re: Famous People and Dragon Ball
Carlos Newton is a Dragonball fan. So much that he lists his personal fighting style, a mix of Jujutsu, Judo, and Wrestling, as "Dragonball Jiujitsu."
He doesn't fight professionally that often anymore. Last time he fought was when he was in Australia in July of this year at an Impact FC event.
His record is nearly half and half, with 29 fights and 15 wins.
You can read more about him on Wikipedia.

I should really do a Sparking Turtle tribute to this guy.
Re: Famous People and Dragon Ball
We need more celebrities to confess their love for DragonBall. I know there has to be more than these two guys.
Come on, Chuck Norris. Let's get it out already.

Re: Famous People and Dragon Ball
There's Jacky Chan, of course, and all the other people featured in the "I Love DragonBall" section of the Shenlong Times. Jacky Chan's probably the only one of those well known outside Japan though, except for maybe SMAP.

Wow, just when I think Nadal couldn't be any more awesome... Nadal has been one of my favourite sportsmen for the past few years and Dragonball being Dragonball, having the two even remotely related is a very awesome thing.

Hah on Wiki it says Carlos Newton's post-fight celebration is a Kamehameha wave :p. Nice nice.
Actions have reactions so don't be quick to judge, you may not know the hardships that people don't speak of.

If you could count mangaka as famous people, then Kishimoto and Oda would fit into that category.
Re: Famous People and Dragon Ball
How about James Marsters?
He's the only one of the DBE cast who had a genuine interest in DragonBall as far as I know XD

I wouldn't be sure, but we all know that every.single.one.of.their.fans.do.Bardo117 wrote:Doesn't Linkin Park like Dragonball Z too?
Searching "Linkin Park DBZ" will result in your computer pulling a gun and shooting itself.

I think I remember reading that Nami Tamaki(J-Pop star) likes Dragon Ball too.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

Isn't Masi Oka, the actor who played Hiro in Heroes, a fan of Dragon Ball? He mentioned reading Shônen Jump as a child in a section of a Heroes graphic novel, and once compared Future Hiro to Future Trunks, both time travellers who have a sword.

Re: Famous People and Dragon Ball
Lol, of course Jackie Chan likes Dragonball. Goku is a copy combo of Jakie Chan himself and Superman!
(edit, actually I think Goku is also based on this character: http://www.china-on-site.com/monkey.php )
