More of a false belief but I thought Super Saiyan and non Super Saiyan was a rank...like in the army.

So I thought Goku was a person and then Super Siayan Goku was a different person, but still stronger.

What I came up with was surprisingly similar to the JSAT, only longer, and more serious and probably with more "wangst".
And naturally, instead of Tarble, there was Goshin. Who was one of Gero's experiments in genetic modification, who was scrapped for Cell, but made into a sleeper agent who would activate in the event of the defeat of one of Gero's creations. So he went after Mr. Satan.

... Well, the attack on Mr. Satan didn't turn out all that well... XD. Goshin might have been genetically saiyan-based, but wasn't quite immune to the kinds of weapons that do things like electricute or chemically repel you.
Being aware of how lame a defeat this was, he went off to train in the woods for a while, ran into Tenshinhan, and learned from him that Gohan was actually the one to kill Cell.

There is a girl who reviews Irwin/Jakks Dragon Ball figures on YouTube, who calls herself SSGoshin4. I've talked to her a few times, and I did in fact ask her where the name came from: She said she made it up.

The name "Goshin" has been floating around in DB fandom longer than most of you are giving it credit for. I remember folks with that name back in the days of AOL chat in 1998. I've heard the Goku + Tenshinhan explanation, and I've heard all sorts of others .

Don't know if anyone has brought it up, but I heard a crazy rumor that Tien didn't appear until late in the Buu Saga because if he had been with the others while observing Babidi and Pui Pui, Dabura would have spit on Gohan, since Tien would have been one of the strongest fighters there and would have even been strong enough to kill Dabura.

Just like that one about him originally having Tenshinhan go to Babidi's ship with the others but he decided against that idea because Tenshinhan was supposedly so strong by that point that he would've beaten Dabra and end the saga? Lol.

It sounds like somebody is vastly fanwanking him just so, the statement of Krillin being the strongest Earthling holds no truth whatsoever.
Tenshinhan could maybe create a Shin Kikoho so powerful, that it is able to stop Dabra at best, considering the latter is on Perfect Cell's level.
