Nachi Nozawa (Lucifer, DB Movie 2) Passes Away

Post by gotensottile » Sat Oct 30, 2010 8:57 am

Yes, unfortunetly, at the age 72, due to lung cancer, Nachi Nozawa has passed away.
The only thing he did in DragonBall was Lucifer in DB Movie 2: However, it's still very sad to hear yet another Japanese seiyuu has passed away.
May he rest in peace.

Might have to rewatch movie 2, to remember what he sounds like.

Ah man, that sucks. Lucifer is one of those characters you really don't hear much about. It's a shame Nozawa couldn't have gotten more work as him.

He'll be greatly missed. :(

Was he any relation to Masako?

2010 is like the complete opposite of 2009!

09 was full of happy news, but 10 is so far was full of sad news...!!

No, they're not related. Though when I first read the news, I almost thought it was her husband (who's also a voice actor, Masaaki Tsukada), but it turned out the name "Nachi Nozawa" was just familiar to me because of his role in DB Movie 2.

I don't think I've ever heard any of his work aside from Lucifer, but it's a shame to lose another aging actor.

Just finished watching the movie. The Halloweenish feel was great. Like others have stated, I've only heard him in this one movie, but it is always tragic to learn that another seiyu has passed on. May he rest in peace.

Looked at his profile and it said he was Dr. Masharito on Dr. Slump. RIP

I have not seen DB Movie 1-3 in years, but he will be missed though . I'm looking up the music from DB movie 2 right now on Youtube.

Poor guy...always sad to hear about losing one of the seiyuu (or anyone else of course) to our beloved series. R.I.P. :(

Yep. I watched it tonight due to the Halloweenish feel and because the villain passed away today. I still love that movie. So many things in it crack me up. First and foremost is when Bulma sees the henchman, and her jaw hinges open. Lovely comedic timing. So, yes, Lucifer will be missed.
