DragonBall Textless Movie Posters & Promotional Art.
Holy crap, this thread was a complete mess to start! I originally planned on scanning all the textless movie posters and promotional art from the movies. So I scan up to DragonBall Z movie 4 and I notice all the scans suck so, I stopped scanning and was gonna forget the whole thing. The next day, today, I woke up and was about to delete the scans. But I invested so much time scanning them, I figured maybe I should just put them up as is and let everyone know they're crappy and that I'm just throwing them out there. Ok, great. I do that, I write out this whole long post, giving some tidbits on some art, talking about some of the art style blah, blah, blah... I accidentally click the back button. Everything disappears into the internet void. Now, I was pissed, I figured fuck this, I go to delete the folder again, and again, I feel like it's a waste. So what do I do? I tell myself, let me start over, let me scan the rest of the movie art, maybe I'll just put one a day on my twitpic. I start doing that. Long story short: scanner dies during the scans of movie 10 and some of 8. What the Hell?!
*Sigh* So now, I'm just saying fuck it, I'm just going to post whatever I have to pleasure your eye balls. Yes, I know some of the scans are worse than others. But hey, Here ya go, thumbnails, go click...

These particular scans are from "The Golden Warrior" art book.

Greatly appreciated, Tanooki! These are awesome.
Also, may I ask if this is the book you are talking about?
Again, these are great. Glad you went through with the post.

I really like this coloring of Turles.
I always wondered where this image of Goku came from.

Yea, in the early days, FUNimation used that image on a ton of merchandise.Travis Touchdown wrote:I always wondered where this image of Goku came from.

Its kinda cool to see that Commander Red's hair was originally going to be white in the movie, just like in the manga.

I've been looking for a clean, decent-quality version of the tenth anniversary movie poster for ages! Thanks so much!

Yes. I could... but, right now is a busy time and my scanner works half of the time. Maybe sometime in January?

My favorite ones are those that use stuff not seen in the actual movie. Like the posters for:cpd12589 wrote:Those movie posters pics are awesome. Thanks for the post!

- DB movie 4 - Commander Red's white hair and with Black's design still similar to the manga.
- DBZ movie 3 - Tullece poster where he has a normal skin tone, close to a Nappa style armor, and Haiya Dragon is green.
- DBZ movie 3 - Almost all of Tullece's henchmen has different colors.
- DBZ movie 4 - Slug's henchmen Angira is a different color.

Goku's also wearing his orange gi in the movie 1 posters, as well as most of the movie 2. Tao Pai Pai wears anything but pink in the movie 3 posters, and Goku's wearing his all blue gi in the fourth movie poster with white-haired Red.

The poster with Goku, Piccolo, Tien, Chaozu, Yamcha, Krillin and Gohan is my favorite.
