Dragon Ball SD 2

Post by Michsi » Mon Apr 11, 2011 2:09 pm

I know it's not allowed to post links here but I think it's still okay to give heads up (right???) that it's out! I aplogize if this isn't okay.

I think I enjoyed this one more than the last, it actually made me laugh and I think the art is better too.

I'm still sorta annoyed that Piccolo wasn't featured at all but Vegeta BFF and "death" was LOL-worthy enough to make up for it.

The art seems to have improved compared to the first chapter, I like it a lot. Itty bitty Freeza!
I laughed hard at Vegeta dying.

Guys 'n gals, it takes all of half-a-second to find with the most obvious of Google queries. Seriously. C'mon. Internet. Learn it.

Once again, I won't speak to whatever translations are out there until I'm holding the actual "Saikyou Jump" in my hands...

Yeah. I found some listings and placeholder pages that didn't actually have the chapter.

Thanks, Google.

Anywho, thanks for the link! It was a fun read. A bit short, though.

Just read it. I didn't like how Goku became a Super Saiyan. He also says "I'm really pissed off now, Freeza!" Which, doesn't sound like Goku to me.

I think it sort of fit's Goku's change in speech patterns after he transforms.

Yeah. Same here. Probably filled up my computer with a lot of new adware too. But on the bright side, according to a pop-up window, I apparently won an iPad. :|

Would somebody mind PMing me a link too please?

EDIT: Thank you kindly!

As usual the art was great, but the story was just "meh." The juxtaposition of the serious subject matter with the cutesy art style at least elevated it above the previous issue, but she's still not really taking advantage of it. It's still just a bland rehash of the actual story, with several sequences lifted out nearly verbatim. I also have to question the sense of Goku transforming because Vegeta got hurt (although I admit the image of him being blown up was the only thing that made me actually laugh). Seriously? Your one major deviation from the story, and it's that? I know I'm talking like you're actually reading this, but if you keep doing this, please just have fun with it! Do something crazy! Do something extremely silly! Use the art style to help inspire your story. Don't just do rehashes that happen to have a cutesy art style to them, otherwise there's really no point.

I actually think this is a major deviation. It was the first thing I laughed at and it still makes me laugh.

Seriously speaking now, I get the feeling she is not allowed to get too creative or carried away with the story.

And a little bit of critisism: the drawing that feature movement are still lacking some dynamism but it definetly improved

The art style is very cute; and I really like the coloring/shading used here. Crisp, professional, and well done that is. :3

The story was kind of a rehash again; though I thought it was kind of funny how Vegeta turns out to be alive after all at the very end.

Meh, close enough.

I really liked this one. I loved that everyone was so happy with Goku's arrival. And I mean everyone. No royal ego present here.
The art style is great, but I couldn't help but feel it was still in a kind of a safe zone.

This page really got the LOL out of me. Great job Ooishi!
