^Darn! Beat me to it.

I'm hoping that since it specifically says it's based off the manga they're giving the Buu saga the treatment all of Kai deserved: new animation from scratch. Then again, could you fit the whole thing in one movie? Probably not. Maybe they'd make a series of movies to cover it.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
Found this quote on apforums don't know how real it is.

News Flash! curtisy of T.

New Dragon Ball Z movie, with Toriyama deeply involved in the script.
chibi-Goten and chibi-Trunks are in it, so most likely taking place before GT stuff.

In theaters March 30th.

These are exiting news! Now I have something more to look forward to aha. Hopefully FUNimation doesn't take 3 years to bring it to the west.

It would be cool if it was based on the Boo-arc to somewhat make up for the lack of such in Kai, though I'd have my doubts even if it were the case, but I don't think it is.

If it's an original story, which it likely will be, I hope it's halfway decent. I really don't want another "Episode of Bardock". It had also better not be "Episode of Broli" wherein he transforms into a Super Saiyan 3...

If it's an original story, maybe it's one where Vegeta turns SSJ3? Honestly that's more likely than Bardock turning SSJ3 and receiving the anime treatment...unless they were to both turn SSJ3, aha.

Also with all these new Dragon Ball Heroes transformations, there are many ways this film could go. I hear there's an SSJ3 Trunks now? And a SSJ3 Gogeta?

Hopefully it is a film . I remeber initially thinking that the anniversary special from 2008 was a film and later found out it was just an OVA.

It was shown during JUMP Festa. It's not really an OVA as it was a Special Feature shown at a festival. You can call it a movie, but meh.
