Are there any characters you actually hate?

Personally, I hate Chaozu. Or at least, now I hate him. He had some serious potential, and he just got thrown to the side. I don't like the fact that everytime someone says "Krillin and Yamcha are complete failures", they forget about Chaozu. He has never won a fight in the manga.

But, of course, this is my opinion.

i personally dislike videl. i don't hate her but she really was a worthless character who didn't need to even be in the manga period. i don't think she did anything of actual significance. she just seemed like a love interest for gohan and that's it. some say she brought him to the tournament but honestly that could have been easily done without her. could have been re-written to goku saying he's coming back for a day and what better to spend it then re-living his childhood at the tournament he always used to participate in or something like that. honestly videl as i recall really did nothing. personally i have her lower then raditz and yamcha in joking terms everyone uses.

I very much like (or the very least tolerate) most of the characters, including minor ones that don't do very much. Even Chi-Chi (whom of which a lot of fans claim to hate) but Kaioshin now became my most hated character for his shitty "plan" and the fact that they make him out to be someone cool and mysterious only to reveal that he's a major pussy. Also there's GT Pan, some character development wouldn't hurt. I know GT isn't big on character development but I wouldn't have hated Pan so much if they gave her some. It's like they wanted us to hate her.

A good villain would be a character you like simply for how nasty he/she is but enjoy seeing him/her suffer. In shortened terms, meaning that you 'love to hate' them.

I would also like to add chi-chi because she became so annoying and unreasonable to the point of stupidity. i'm glad that in the japanese version she is at least more tolerable but still very unreasonable. the funi dub in both kai and z have her at huge levels of annoying that are downright exaggerated to the point where i want to yell SHUT UP. Also i'm a fan of both the japanese and english versions and i'm not hating on english it's just the english chi chi is just that annoying. Though manga wise she is equal to japanese anime counter part.

why couldn't chi chi act like how she was in dragonball, there she was so much better and more likable in the 23rd tenkaichi budokai as a teen/adult. kid chi chi is also way different from adult and she is perfectly fine.

Marriage with Goku happened but she calms down a bit by the Cell Saga (and a lot by the Buu Saga).

I'll get backlashed for this, but...... Vegeta. I don't hate him, but I do dislike how arrogant and stupid he can get for the sake of his pride. Just watch/real the Artificial Humans/Cell arc along with the Boo arc and you'll understand my point.

Yeah, Vegeta became a whiny bitch after the Frieza Saga but it's realistic in terms of character development.

I've said it before, but Dragon Ball really doesn't have any characters I 'hate'. Maybe some I "love to hate" but that's a good kind of 'hate'.

Count me in on that "don't really hate any character" group. There are some characters that I "love to hate" as you guys said, but other than that, I don't really hate anyone.

I have to agree with you. He makes some incredibly stupid decisions later in the series, especially in the Artificial Human arc. There are times when he becomes likable for me (like his sacrifice against Fat Buu), but I'm not a big fan of Vegeta overall.

I hate those two gunmen in the Boo arc. I wanted to punch them so hard when they shot the puppy, and luckily Mr. Satan did it for me.

Also Broli. He just sucks.

I complain about Vegeta sometimes, but he has his moments ("Go home and drink some milk!"), so I can't say I totally hate him.

Most of the GT characters since I feel like they were just made to be annoying and unfunny. I remember I facepalm myself when The Para Brothers started forcing Goku to dance.
