"Something Cool" Relating to FUNi's Dragon Boxes Next Year?

I'd want this or they continue the HD restoration for Z and possible DB. I don't care about the Dragon Boxes, I'd much prefer a HD release.

Seriously hoping for Dragonbox The Movies. Watching the movies on a HD TV in DBOX quality while eating snacks would be sweet. Also hoping it will be on Blu Ray so the dub music can be included (yeah I said it).

Personally I hope it's the original Dragon Ball Dragon Box and if it is I'm wondering if Toei will let FUNimation include the Harmony Gold dub as an extra?

The first 13 episodes of DragonBall have only been released by FUNimation once.

Yeah unlike the Z series and it's movies that have been released over and over, the DB series has only been released once or twice.

They're going to release an Extras set with all the extras from the Japanese DBZ DBoxes.

Including the action figures!

A second printing of the Dboxes even for a limited time would be superb! I have always wanted to buy them but when they were last out I didn't have the money! I'm not prepared to pay some of the ridiculous prices they go for now so I would love that!

It could always be a re-release of the DBoxes in single volumes like they did in Japan.

Actually, I think Dragon Ball had the best dub out of all three series. For the most part, it stayed close to the original material. I don't think they'll dub it just to match some flashbacks in DBZK.

I meant that the new Kai voices would match up and have better acting if they did/are re-dubbing it.

Also, It didn't really match up to the original material. So many good and funny scenes were completely changed. For example, on the plane to the 22nd Tenka’ichi Budōkai, Master Roshi says he needs to take a dump. In the dub this is just changed to him wanting to get off the plane with no explanation. There are more but I can't think of them at the moment considering I haven't watched the dub in years.

Anyway, a new and accurate dub like Kai would be most welcome.

Oh, yea. I agree, if they dubbed it with the Kai cast it would be so much better. Curse of the Blood Rubies was a good example of that.

Curse of the Blood Rubies would be the exception since they based the script off the old dub. If they did put more effort into a proper re-dub like Kai, THEN it would be "so much better".

It's kind of ironic since you seem to find the re-dub of Curse of the Blood Rubies not as great as Kai, however, it is comparable in terms of quality to the dub that you speak of that "stayed close to the original material."

As nice as it'd be I don't see how that might relate to the Dragon Boxes, If they were to go to the trouble of re-dubbing DB they'd probably do it as part of something more than just a DVD release, I just can't see it happening myself.

Yeah, I don't think Funi would really go to the trouble, but I just thought it could be the case considering it is stated as "something cool" to do with the Dragon boxes.

I agree totally, I don't think DB has received enough promotion on behalf of Funi when compared to DBZ, I think they need to refresh DB and try to garner some fresh interest in the series.

No, I'm saying I liked the re-dub. I think it's some what as good as Kai in terms of voice acting. The original dub script still wasn't that bad. If my DVD drive worked right now, I would put up screen shots of what the subtitles say compared to the words being spoken in English.

Domestic Dragon Ball Dragon Box release = Sex. Maybe they'll reissue the DBZ ones, as well? I doubt it, but a guy can dream.
