Yeah, I'm pretty sure GT premiered its last batch of episodes on Saturdays. Originally, GT was on every Friday when Toonami was still an after-school event. I remember that annoying me, because come on, DBZ and DB were on every day!

I definitely watched this commercial live. It's not a YouTube video; it's a culmination.

So, September 2009 to September 2010? Well, let's see, not in chronological order, it goes something like this.

-US Dragon Boxes were coming out.
-Dragon Ball (Z) Kai was announced for US and started release in May 2010.
-Raging Blast 1 came out.
-Raging Blast 2 as announced.
-Daisuke Gōri passed away.

I can't remember much more, but those are what stuck out.

I mean, you're pretty open about looking at cartoon porn. Why would you do that? It's fiction. The proportions of these women are not possible to reach in reality.

Kaboom wrote:Let's see. Back in 2006, everyone on DaizenshuuEX was talking about...

- The brand-new and still fledgling DaizEX podcast.
- The release of "Dragon Box: The Movies" in Japan, along with continuing single-disc DBZ series releases, and eventually the announcement of single disc releases for DB.
- Atari screwing up and having to re-print the Greatest Hits version of Budokai 3.
- New characters being added to the arcade version of Super Dragon Ball Z, plus the eventual PS2 release.
- The additional eventual releases of "Advanced Adventure" (GBA), "Shin Budokai" (PSP), "Battle Stadium D.O.N." (PS2, GC), and "Sparking NEO / Budokai Tenkaichi 2" (PS2, Wii)... while "GT Transformation 2" (GBA) disappears.
- "Harakanaru Goku Densetsu" for the DS is announced for the next year, as is "Shin Budokai: Another Road" for the PSP.
- FUNimation releases DBZ Movies 12 and 13, and even showing the former in theaters. A triple-feature box set of all three Broly movies is also released, along with another one for DBZ Movies 1-3.
- How depressing it was that Kidsmark/Lionsgate had the rights to the first 13 episodes and first movie of Dragon Ball indefinitely.
- For one singular day, the DaizEX home page is inexplicably covered in some sort of crazy moon-runes.
- The first early announcements of the first dreaded "remastered" DBZ season sets from FUNimation, and not long thereafter, the word "WIDESCREEN" in relation to it rears its ugly head. To think that we at first suspected they would use the Dragon Box footage...
- Voice actors Hirotaka Suzuoki (Tenshinhan) and Kazuyuki Sogabe (Dr. Myu, Toma, No.13) both pass away.
- Kickass crossover masterpiece game "Jump Ultimate Stars" (DS) is announced and released.
- Toriyama contributes to a nifty crossover project with Kochikame, wherein Freeza and his men are in awe at the fearsome gag-character power of Ryo.
- Speaking of crossovers, Toriyama and Eiichiro Oda give us an awesome Christmas present in the form of Cross Epoch.

Yeah, I pretty much just plucked out everything worth mentioning from 2006 in the News Archive...
Basically this. Can't believe all this stuff happened *8* years ago... time flies.

All I remember is Ultimate Tenkaichi, because that's why I joined the forum in the first place. It got me back into Dragon Ball and I am so glad that it did.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

Dragon Boxes! They're actually the reason why I searched the web for some Dragon Ball info, and it led me to these awesome forums. The Dragon Box cancellation thread is the first I posted in.

I waited until the 7th box was released before I bought them all. It was around that time I joined the forums. Looking back this was an obvious mistake as they were a limited print and box 2 cost me a bundle...

I don't think the forum had re-launched quite yet, but in my first year as a member of Daizenshuu EX proper, the Kanzenban version of the manga went on sale in Japan, and pre-orders were taken for the first Dragon Ball Z Dragon Box.

I believe I started lurking on this forum back in '09, after discovering it through a YouTube channel called 'WolfClawStudios' (anyone remember that?). That was the year that DBE, DBKai, the Dragon Boxes, and Raging Blast all came out, so a pretty crazy year overall (that was 5 years ago, now). When I actually joined, the Dragon Boxes were still steadily trucking along, FUNimation was bringing out their dub of DBZKai, and Raging Blast 2 was coming out with its newly-animated remake of 'Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans'. Those are the main discussions I remember, DBZKai, in particular.

Raditz was the next villain after Burter and Jeice. Again.

I remember by 2004, Toonami started airing the Super 17 saga during the summer and they finish up the Shadow Dragon saga before New Years. GT was on weekdays before Miguzi was made(I hated Miguzi).

Do you follow the most comprehensive and entertaining Dragon Ball analysis series on YouTube? If you do, you're smart and awesome and fairly attractive. If not, see what all the fuss is about without even having to leave Kanzenshuu:

I discovered Daizenshuu EX in late 09 and joined in 2010 (f..k I just realized it's been almost 4-5 years). During the year a lot happened, The Dragon Boxes were being realeased, Kai was still ongoing along with the awesome dub, we heard about Ocean Kai, the remake of PTETS was released and we got a redub of the first DB movie.

...pretty much this, haha!

But in seriousness of some kind, I joined when (I think?) the Kanzenban had just recently been released. MFG was a big deal at the time. Movie 9 was just hitting the states. I was discovering the Japanese version for the first time (and I never looked back). Budokai 3 was new and addicting as hard drugs. It was a good but somewhat confusing time. I think I was having occasional battle of wills against VegettoEX, which is hilarious in retrospect. Being 16 was a strange time for me. I'm glad to be arriving on my decade anniversary here.
