Selfmade Dragonball comics! NEW COMIC POSTED (3rd comic)!!

Post by kindertuin » Tue Dec 20, 2005 9:59 am

Hi, yesterday night i was just drawing some things when i came up with this:

Image

OK, its not that funny, but you must have to admid, it has something (at least i hope it has  ).
It took me around 5 minutes to make it, so it's not that detailed (no background, etc.)
If it is ok, i'm happy to post some more and i am hoping to amuse at least one person!

EDIT: I posted my second one (i only inkted the words, cause i don't want to inkt the whole story. )

Image

EDIT 2: I posted the 3rd one, hope you'll like it (and understand it)

(PS. if there are some mistakes in the english grammar, i am sorry, my mother language is Dutch)

Lisp is a speech problem that involves pronouncing some sounds as "th".
You spelled "about" "abouth". But, english isn't your first language. It's OK. :P

I enjoyed the comic. :)

Speaking of funny Dragon Ball comics, does anybody remember the Little Saiya-lings? Planet Namek used to have a link to them. All of the Dragon Ball gang were in grade school and Goku was the strongest kid until the new bully, Vegeta, came to town. Krillin also kept trying to get with #18 but she would just keep putting him down. Heh heh. Good times.

That's pretty good.

Along with Little Saiya-lings, my favorite DBZ fancomic was "DBZ at the Beach". Before many of my friends had the internet, I used to call them over and we'd sit at the computer and read it together (or they'd get me to read it to them ala the American voice actors, since people say, although I disagree, that I sound like 70% of the cast).
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

Yea, I prefer the second one too, more entertaining! They are both good though.

And those little Saiya-ling comics were well good, I read through loads, I enjoyed them too.

(Second comic) Well, I certainly didn't see that last panel coming.
Fun stuff, I enjoyed it. Although, the panel layout was kinda confusing in my opinion. I'm not sure if I read it in the right order.

Yah sorry abouth that, but at the end, i realised i didn't had enough space any more so i had to draw it like that! Glad you enjoyed it and i'll try to make the next layout better!

Well what I do with my comics, is I think ahead of exactly what I want to put on that page, pictures and dialogue. Then I lay out the panels for that entire page accordingly. I don't fill anything in them until the panels are all there.
That might help. But that's just me. :P

Normally, i do the same, but i don't want to put to much time in these comics, it's not as they are extremly well drawn

I posted the 3rd one at the beginning of this topic. Enjoy!

Hey that comic is kind of cool! That 3rd one is slightly improved over the others in terms of layout and art. It's all good. Just to make sure, the top 8 panels are all actually placed in the same postion in the sky right? I think this because the clouds are the same.

Now you are getting me in the mood to make a comic, but I'll make it all serious and take ages and that is all long. One little joke strip may get me in the mood to revive my manga and make chapter 2, I'm still sketching bad guys though, I want it to be good, not some knock off of an existing story.
