Saw the movie finally. Well, the fight choreography of the Z Warriors was awesome! The fights overall were enjoyable.
Can't wait for official release with subtitles tough. Overall, I've liked the BoG much better, as there was almost nothing new.
Just Whis and his 3 minute returner, Freeza's new form, Goku and Vegeta's new form, animated Jaco and just fighting.
I really loved that slow-mo neutralizing by Gohan.

Right? Totally one my favourite scenes from the movie! I feel that people overlook that scene and are too busy throwing a hissy fit over Freeza punching Gohan and think Toei/Toriyama hate Gohan.MCDaveG wrote:Saw the movie finally. So, something funny in the special features of the Blu-ray. In "The Return of Dragon Ball Z" extra, there's a part where after the world premiere in April, they have interview and one of them is with Schemmel and Nozawa. Schemmmel asks Nozawa if she ever feels spiritually connected to Goku when she acts. He goes on and elaborates and it sounds so try hard and "look at me, I'm totally deep about this character." Nozawa responds, and the first thing she says is "No, I don't really see it that way." And it's absolutely hysterical. She elaborates on how she feels, but that first line was the best thing ever.

She is a legend. I was a dub fan, hated her acting a little bit (mostly beacuse i was caught in the hate of the dub fans), but when i switched to the original japanese version, i got used to hearing her really fast, and after while she became the ONLY Goku. Her acting is great for all the Son members and they all sound different and unique. But dem screams tho, chills everytime, so epic!Chuquita wrote:That sounds amazing. XDShadowDude112 wrote:So, something funny in the special features of the Blu-ray. Yeah but its in PAL and probably region coded over there. Kinda hard for those using ntsc televisions to watch.sangofe wrote:No, it's not. The French release will have a 3D release as well. And funnily enough, it's also coming out on the 5th of November.tinlunlau wrote:http://www.post76.com/x2/forum.php?mod= ... a=page%3D1
Above link includes details of the Hong Kong bluray release. What sets this one apart is the fact that this will be the only way to get the 3D version of the film. The 3D version is not included on the Japanese and American bluray releases. There is mention that it will come out November 5th.
The world is your's.

The best part of this is that I'm on the extras on both the US and JP sets.

I doubt it. But tvb will definitely redub it with their Kai cast. Only question is when.ShinGaijin wrote:Thanks for the info, Tinlunlau. Can't wait to watch the Cantonese version.

You did write that it's "the only way to get the 3D version of the film." If you knew it wasn't, why did you write that, then? Secondly, with digital TVs, there's no problems such as "PAL" and "NTSC" anymore.tinlunlau wrote:Yeah but its in PAL and probably region coded over there. Also, it's not really hard to get around the region coding...

3D release requires a 3D TV though. I'd be more interested in getting a digital release so I can watch the movie on my iPad on an airplane or something.
At any rate, I did reserve a copy from FUNi.

Received my Funimation copy of Resurrection "F" today. Freeza even exacted some revenge too, as I got a "cardboard cut" from the packaging...
Anyway, about to make myself a snack and sit down to watch it properly subbed for the first time. It's kinda crazy that I saw the film in English first, then Japanese without subs, and now finally in the manner I prefer. World doesn't make sense anymore.

Let me know if the audio on your copy is quiet. When I watched the Blu-ray, the dub sounded quiet. Like, I really had to turn my volume up. I'm assuming you're going to watch it in Japanese with English subtitles, but if you could check anyways, that'd be awesome. It was kind of the same on the Japanese audio too. Maybe it was my TV? Not sure.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:Received my Funimation copy of Resurrection "F" today. Freeza even exacted some revenge too, as I got a "cardboard cut" from the packaging...

I swapped over for you. I didn't watch the screaming or yelling in the fights or anything, but the normal scenes did sound a little quiet. Not too bad though. I usually have my volume set on about 15 for most things I watch, and I only had to kick it up a few notches to be in the comfort zone; 17 or 18-ish?

I've watched the whole thing earlier today and the encounter between Goku and first form Freeza is the way as seen in Bardock's vision saying to him before he died "Kakarotto, you must avenge our homeworld and defeat Freeza!" If Bardock and King Vegeta were wished back along with the planet, the Saiyan race could have been the protectors of the universe rather than an all barbaric alien race.
Addendum: There is almost one problem: Goku and Vegeta could've been fused into Gogeta in order to defeat Freeza.

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection '
That is actually a common problem I have with most dub tracks on FUNi releases. Especially the bgm, half the time the dub audio drowns out the bgm (usually if the scene is a big epic battle or a lot of shouting etc) and I really have to whack the volume up. However, when I switch to the Japanese audio on said FUNi releases, it is fine. I hear everything well and the bgm never gets drowned, just as I'd expect. What I found was the dub tracks are usually 5.1 while the Japanese tracks are 2.0, so I guess it is just something to do with the way FUNi mix the 5.1 audio, now Resurrection "F" has 5.1 for both tracks so this explains why the Japanese one feels a little quiet too.ShadowDude112 wrote:Let me know if the audio on your copy is quiet.
