Do you want a series based on Tien or Yamcha

For me, I'd say yeah, but only for Tien. Not just because he's cooler, because I wanna know his backstory and how he met the crane brothers. As for Yamcha, nah, but I would want it based on his past and how he got his WFF style, but honestly....screw Yamcha. I don't care about him!

The only way to keep the series alive is to have stories that move the plot foreword so no plus they're not strong enough characters to hold their own series.

A small 5-10 part series could be pretty good in my opinion.

Honestly, this is the kind of thing I've been wanting for a long time - but not as a 'series' per say. I would love if we could get some yearly TV specials (ala Lupin the 3rd), that focus on character based stories that we would never get any other way. Show us some stuff that happened when Roshi was young. Show us how Tenshinhan met Chaozu and started training under Tsurusennin. Show us how Yamcha ended up in the desert. Show us how Kuririn ended up with the monks. Show us some more of Vegeta's youth. Show us all these kind of character driven things that no other format would probably ever touch. Alas, I don't think Toei will ever go for that though.

I wouldn't mind either to be honest with you, they both have pretty cool back stories! If i had to choose I would probably pick Yamcha. What I would like the most is a Goten/Trunks story made, one of the more widely accepted Dragon Ball AF series kinda uses that theme and I really enjoyed it!

If they gave Yamcha with Puar a series, I'd at least check it out. I think he could hold one. You could also on occasion bring Kuririn in as a supporting character. Tenshinhan could hold one, but I think it'd be too serious for me.

Lion King 3 and the Timon and Pumba series come to mind, for some reason. Not really interested in seeing those two supporting characters take the spotlight just "to see where it would go".

I realize that being okay with a Mr Boo and Mr Satan spin-off series is somewhat hypocritical, though it was something we did see a bit of.

Technically not. There's still that whole 'last tournament, finding Oob' deal that's at the end of the manga, which Battle of Gods does take place before.

Sure, I suppose, if you ignore the ending of the manga. But hey, I can ignore pieces too, and say that the series actually ended at the 23rd Budokai, and Piccolo was the big bad of the franchise! I'm ok with that.
