I don't know, I actually like that they're regular Blu-ray cases. They're definitely much more compact than the steel books. Whereas I find it difficult making space for all of this stuff, the Blu-rays seem to just kind of slip in wherever I need them to. Plus, the steel books are a pain in the butt to open (to me) and they are susceptible to damage (denting). If the regular Blu-ray case gets damaged, I can always replace it. Can't do that with the steel books.

I'm currently collecting the Blu-Rays too, they definitely look nicer, cleaner, and idk sleeker I suppose when on display.
The steel cases are great collectors items, but yeah dent pretty easily, and look clunky next to the rest of the series, which would be orange bricks or dragon boxes, which are pretty clunky as well, so that shelf is just a clunky mess.

The movie collection sets never included History of Trunks and Bardock, oddly enough, so it's sort of an incomplete set with the DVD's.

I would like GT bluray cases and maybe ocean dub on bluray.

PROBABLY not gonna happen.

The masters FUNi got of GT, along with the original DB are Digi-beta tapes instead of the film masters they got for DBZ. That's why the DVD remasters we DID get of those properties fared better than FUNi's orange bricks of DBZ. This also means tho that they are probably a fixed resolution lower than HD, so anything they could do would be an upscale and wouldn't look too good... at least nothing better than you'd get by upscaling the existing DVDs on a home Blu-ray player that does that.

This would either require new Film masters from Toei, or for Toei themselves to spearhead a remaster to give FUNi materials to work with.

As for the Ocean dub, it's an edited product, and FUNi's High Quality Blu-ray masters are unedited, meaning FUNi would actively have to replicate at least the removed scenes from the old Saban broadcast in order to fit the Ocean track onto them. I doubt FUNi would want to do that kind of work when that release is getting by purely on "Nostalgia" for that dub alone, so the DVD release fits that need fine.

The Movies are totally doable tho... I could see a Future blu-ray release of all the movies maybe coming with the Ocean track as an extra. The movies were uncut on that original Pioneer/Geneon release, so the dub should fit without modification, tho the Movie 3 dub would be the DVD version, not the "Broadcast" version.

Not too much to write home about, but I'm quite proud of it (especially those two larger items ;))! It'll keep growing, for sure.

The bottom-left? Those are Viz's current 3-in-1 volumes, which use the red coloring and cover artwork from the kanzenban, but otherwise have no relation to them.

When I first saw that collection, I wondered if you said you needed help because it was incomplete...obviously that assumption is wrong. xD

No, I need to stop the addiction lol It started off so innocently too. First I was collecting the Z singles. Then I stopped after getting a few of the box-sets and started getting the orange bricks. Then I came here and realized how terrible they were so I finished the singles. Then the Dragon Boxes... And then you know, it just never stopped lol By the way, the rest of the colored manga -- Yeah, I'll get it.

Are those bootlegs of the Mexican dub?

No, why would it? It's fiction. The strength of the characters is not possible to reach in reality.
I mean, you're pretty open about looking at cartoon porn. Why would you do that? It's fiction. The proportions of these women are not possible to reach in reality.

I'm betting those are either bootlegs or TV recordings. Honestly, I think the Mexican dub bootlegs would become a lot less popular if the dub had a complete official dvd release (NEP's optional, considering that using the Funi Season Blu-Ray masters is a possible scenario. It would be strongly recommended though).

When I look at your collection I realize how lucky we are today when it comes to collecting.

Imagine what a nightmare it would be if that was still going on, for One Piece it would take 215+ dvds to get up to where it is now.

The Orange sets had their problems but at the time they were extremely convenient compared to this mess.

Bought this shirt and it just arrived today. I like it, one size too big but with how it fits me I can deal with it, I should be able to grow into it. I love the blue trim that my friend's shirt doesn't have
