There's nothing wrong with sharing said opinion and inquiring as such (even if its about the billionth time someone has said something to the effect of "the franchise is ruined!" and asking if they're the only one who feels that way is akin to asking "am I the only one who really likes [insert popular thing here]?").

There's also nothing wrong with making a thread observing that the franchise did in fact start as a joke. There's especially nothing inherently hostile or mean-spirited about it either.

Anyway, it's good to see how the franchise has grown so far. It makes me think for a long time about a lot of things, things that I would change, things that I wanted to happen and etc.

Realest possible talk, which I'm amazed I have to do on page two of a joke thread after explaining myself twice: Anyone is welcome to present serious discussion about the series here, whatever their opinions may be. It would simply hope they do so in a reasoned, coherent manner. Beginning from a place of extreme hyperbole might result in the very lightest poking fun, which is about as much as this thread was attempting to do, in addition to inviting whatever fond discussion flowed from there.

I assume both AnimeMaakuo and Clayton are passionate about the series -- as we all are -- and I hope they continue to post. But these forums have always made for one of the rare sites centered around genre fiction that encourages members to both present opinions in a reasonable, thoughtful fashion, and roll with light jokes when they arise. In short: to discuss this kids' series like adults.

Now that's some sanctimonious shit, and the last I'll sully this thread with.

I guess for these people Super tarnishes the legacy --- which is a perfectly valid discussion to have now or when it finishes (hopefully soon). I've seen roughly 30 seconds of Super, but I sympathize as Super (I'm told) seems to be going off in another direction where GT mostly played it safe by recycling plot points etc. But that shouldn't ruin your enjoyment of the classic shit.

I partially agree with you, except I would post less cursing. I would also add that replying with a gif is somewhat rude as well. I mean, what is that even supposed to MEAN? Some short of sarcasm, perhaps? Please EXPLAIN what the gif is supposed to mean.

And as much as it is against the rules to respond with a picture with no context, I would guess it's equally inappropriate to respond with just a gif.
