Hiromi Tsuru, Bulma's voice actor, has passed away.

Post by DragonBalllKaiHD » Thu Nov 16, 2017 9:32 pm

The legendary voice actress Hiromi Tsuru has unexpectedly passed away. She was famous as a voice actress for Bulma since the original Dragon Ball began running in 1986. This is very heartbreaking news. Her last appearance as Bulma was Episode #96 of Dragon Ball Super just before the Tournament of Power began.

Source.

Translation from Herms:
At around 7:30pm on November 16th, Hiromi Tsuru was found unconscious in her car on the metropolitan expressway in Chuuouku, Tokyo, and was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.

She was found with her seatbelt fastened, and there was no sign of an accident. The Metropolitan Police Department are investigating the cause of death, and say it may have been due to illness.

At first I thought it was a cruel joke but now I see it's true...

Makes you think how fragile humans life are and how tomorrow is never a guarantee.
May her rest in peace.

Recast.

Anyway, this is terrible news. I hope it wasn't depression.

No... :o

A sad day for all Dragon Ball fans.

I'm really not sure where Dragon Ball can/will go from here... It could continue having Bulma in the series on without her, but... Would they? She was a main cast member, one of the first voices in the entire run, way back in 1986.

... Wow, this is a lot to take in...

I knew the cast were all aging, but I didn't realise it would be this sudden when one of them would drop...
Want Ocean's Dragon Ball Kai dub to see the light of day? Like this Tweet. And if you can, retweet and reply. A Netflix rep encouraged this avenue of drumming up buzz quite enthusiastically, so this may just be the shot that works!!

I think it's true as it appears on Twitter's Top Trending. So I'm deeply sad about this.

Today's not meant to be a good day, my college was attacked by someone with a baseball bat. To get home and learn about this after all the commotion I just passed isn't cool at all.

Apparently she was found unconscious in the car and announced dead in the hospital. My heart goes out to her family and loved ones.

I saw this on twitter, why or how? Was she seriously ill at 57?

The last episode of Super we saw Bulma in is the one right before everyone teleported to the tournament of power. I guess that was her final role as Bulma, besides doing the voice in Dragonball Fighter Z videogame.

Oh god no. This is horrible. I feel so bad for her friends and family, and she was't even really that old, not compared to some of our other cast members.

I legitimately almost feel like tears are trying to creep up on me here. She's been a part of the franchise's anime version since day 1, so with Yanami seemingly retired now, Nozawa's pretty much our only other person left since the very start. This is just...heartbreaking.

I mean, you're pretty open about looking at cartoon porn. Why would you do that? It's fiction. The proportions of these women are not possible to reach in reality.

Her last recorded line in Super was, "Good luck, everyone!" before they all teleported to the tournament of power. :(

I doubt Bulma would appear again soon. Toei will likely recast her, but Bulma will only appear after the tournament, enough time to look for someone and to us be okay with a substitute

She was very talented. She voiced Bulma since the very first Dragon Ball episode through Dragon Ball Super's episode 95 and her voice barely changed, still had such a young voice. I was really shocked when I found out and ran to check if I could find something here on Kanzenshuu since it's still recent and not easy to find something about japanese news without knowing the language. Sadly it's true

My condolences to her family and to all the fans around the world. The Dragon World just lost the best voice to the greatest inventor of all time
