It's really awkward, but it's a homage anyway.
Oh my God..........

That. Is. Amazing.

Nope. Even without sound on my laptop, I still cringe at just watching the show.

Billy and Mandy, Gumball and Codename Kids Next Door did this better.

I miss those shows.

Cartoons just aren't the same as they used to be... just like DB.

I remember very first Teen Titans on CNN in 2003 (?, I guess)

Comparing Teen Titans from 2003 to this....*censorship* is really sad.

Yeah. Before it aired, I heard about a new Teen Titans show coming out. Like everyone else that watched the old show, I looked forward to it.

I don't think I lasted 5 minutes into that first episode. Plus, that thing replaced Young Justice. An actually good show.

Had to skip to the Dragon Ball homages right away. I haven't seen much from Teen Titans Go!, but it doesn't look like I want to watch more from it. Shame that it's all that Cartoon Network cares about nowadays.

The music when they transformed and fought reminds me of Bathory's "Norland".

That song actually reused the melody from this song or is older, than the one I'm linking to now and was simply uploaded on youtube at a later date.
In any case I believe the one I linked to is more well known and I think they got the inspiration from there.

Animation, Tone, Jokes, the Storylines and the way the characters were portrayed.

It was an overly childish show. I know it was made for children but so was Bat!an TAS or X-men. Teen Titans was an embarrassment in comparison.

Tbh, I thought it was fun. The comedic episodes made me laugh, and the serious episodes made me invested in the storylines and I wanted to see what will happen next. It may not be the most serious action cartoon in the world, but I liked it. OG Dragon Ball was never that serious either, and I loved that too.

Eh, I can see what you mean if talking about before the end of the first season. But I wouldn't call the following seasons "overly childish" (considering the themes it explored from an adaptation of The Judas Contract to Cyborg and his humanity to The Terror of Trigon)

Overly childish is not the term I'd use. light hearted at times? Absolutely. but overly childish is just wrong, especially the later stuff

About how I would put it. It was, after all, a comedy series, first and foremost. But it was able to introduce some pretty serious stuff into various arcs and episodes as the series went on. Cyborg dealing with his handicap (he technically is), discrimination (Starfire's thing on being called "Trockie"), the Judas Contract version, Raven being the daughter of a powerful demon, Robin's obsession with Slade, etc.

Nah, I still love cartoons and I turn 23 this year. (Don't judge.)

Dunno. I just feel like a lot have been missing the spark lately.

It's not that I grew up because I still go back and have a blast with older stuff... the standards just seem different these days.
