What are these artworks for the new movie collections

They are among some of the worst art for the series I've ever seen. So bland, undetailed and stiff.

Talking about the new BD releases for the old movies?

If so well Yamamuro's promo arting was one thing that never really improved over the course of DBS and now he's regressed back to his 2015 self it seems as worse as ever.

Pre this new DBS Movie, modern DB promo art was pretty atrocious in general the few good artisits barely got any of the big work, seemed like one area Toei/Sheuisha/Bandai just didn't care about likely used people that were quick (ie Yamamuro) or probably cheap (ie shit promo artisit).

That's something we've never seen before but, you know, the real crime is that the gosh darn red bold Blu-ray text is still there. In a way, it gives a 90's vibe but makes the covers look pretty crappy and underwhelming because of it.

Not as if the Blu-ray case itself doesn't give a hint that it's on Blu-ray. lol

Yeah, it doesn't look that good.

Well the text is blue on the #6 set and you can barely read it as a result:

With these covers and being removed from the series animation and art supervisor roles, it seems that Yamamuro's completely given up on trying to draw decent art.

I agree, flat cheeks and square mouths seem to be the order of the day. It'd be awesome if Shintani could be doing these.

Jaysus! TOEI needs to fire the cover designer as soon as possible but the damage is already done. I can't believe I'm gonna say this, but FUNimation will likely do a better job in that aspect, at the very least.

It's unfair to solely blame the designer, we don't know who or how many people's decision it was for the packaging to be that way. I think the packaging has visibly suffered overall due to trying to "strike while the iron's hot" without the time (and possibly skill) to do so.
