It's just how Vol. 7 was, apparently FUNi for some reason made it a little taller than the other six volumes though not by much.
DB collection related goals as of now:

1.) Find decent priced copy of Dragon Box Z Vol. 4 (Done)

2.) Collect rest of manga

3.) Get rest of Daizenshuu (2-7)

But I think they are bootleg also! :( Can someone check if their disc 1 season 1, when you put it into the pc, has like 4.19 gb? If it doesn't then I have 2 full sets of orange bricks that are bootlegged! In which case, could someone tell me where on earth to acquire the "normal" orange bricks?
Was it sold by amazon? If so (and it is bootleg) id suggest contacting amazon for a full refund
Just checked, sold by biz wiz llc; are you sure they are bootleg?
Season 1 disc 1 should be 7.3 GB. Would get them direct from amazon (you'd have a better chance) or directly from FUNi

I'm just seeing this topic now, but in response to whether or not those slimmer Dragon Ball season sets are bootlegs are not, I'm willing to bet that they're almost certainly not bootlegs. They look to me to be a new cheaper packaging from Funimation. This kind of thing happens all of the time with older TV season sets; they're initially sold in the fancier packaging, and as time wears on and sales slow down, the companies behind the licenses silently roll out cheaper, slimmer packaging that looks almost identical to what I'm seeing in these photos. Funimation has almost certainly employed this tactic with these season sets. If they're being sold like this in-stores at places like Wal-Mart, then there's almost no doubt that they're legitimate products.

I get what you are saying but I have yet to see a single legitimate Blu brick that comes in slim packaging. So until that is confirmed I will continue to say those are bootlegs. I can't even recall the last time I've seen a standalone blue brick in a physical store. Even the recent FYE exclusive boxset had the fat bricks I'm pretty sure.
DB, Z, and GT subbed are my "canon".

I can't order from funi, since I don't live in the USA.

What about these? Are they legit? https://www.amazon.com/Dragon-Ball-Comp ... tv&sr=1-32

Its sold by a third party so its unforutnly a gamble. Even tho it's shipped by amazon, I had an issue where I got a damaged item from a shipped by amazon sold by 3rd party and amazon fought with my over a refund. If you buy them directly from amazon in the separate sets as they are directly sold by amazon and it would cost $158.13 (minus shipping)

Dude, if you're going to pay that much, just get the blurays. The complete, official set is right there under it for cheaper.

Yeah..honestly. At this point there is really no reason to get the Orange bricks. I feel like the DVD’s have way more bootlegs in the wild.

From what I can tell, the quality of the blurays is better than the Orange Bricks too. While I can distinctly remember where the remaster process erased lines during action scenes before, I've yet to notice a single instance of it on my bluray set.

I'm seeing a lots of Dragon Ball singles (mostly Commander Red-Tenshinhan) Brand new with sellers selling 4 or more copies. Has there been any confirmation of bootleg singles in correct packaging *not the King Piccolo part 4 type sets*?

I recently bought the Dragon Ball (and GT) singles and was wondering the same thing. I put each in my PC and used VSO inspector to check out the disc specs..everything looked correct and matched the used legit sets. So honestly I don't know. They even had the episodes guide inserts that are just loose in the case. I can't imagine all that effort would go into bootlegging such a niche DB release.

If anyone knows and for sure way I can spot a bootleg of these and the GT singles, please let me know.

Neither of mine say the DBZ part but my part one discs do say Piccolor instead of Piccolo...

What     I checked my other king piccolo discs and they don't day Piccolor

It also seems like they changed manufacturers or something between 2003 and 2004.

Luckily, I found some pictures of a bootleg set and mine definitely don't appear to be fake. I also wonder if these are dual-layer or single

Idk what it is but the DB and GT singles have inconsistent wording on the inner ring...but I put them all in my pc and the VSO app shows them all to be legit and produced around 2004..so I have no idea.

Sorry for bump, but bumped into this youtube video recently:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ob2BGwjaU1k

It appears to be a video showing off a Latino Spanish version of the 30th Anniversary Blu-ray sets. My hunch is that it's a bootleg, but it looks fairly well made. Can anybody confirm or deny where this comes from?
