Re: Dragon Ball more popular than Sonic and Mario
It's definitely more popular than Sonic but Mario? Not really.

Haven't we already gotten these in GT? Goku dies, the DBs go away, and the Namekian DBs most likely won't be used again because of the Evil Dragons.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

How are we measuring popularity?
The biggest truths aren't original. The truth is ketchup. It's Jim Belushi. Its job isn't to blow our minds. It's to be within reach.

Still don't understand how that is a measure of popularity. Goku's fairly static but he's the most popular and iconic.

If you want answers, you have to ask answerable questions.

I don't know what this means. This is a discussion forum. We're supposed to discuss and "it just is" isn't an answer. Clearly you have a reason behind thinking character development is a measurement of popularity, so what is it?Young-Jah wrote:Cause, if we don't talk about it, we have no answer.Zephyr wrote:but like, how man

Character development is the process of creating a believable fictional character by giving them depth. You can think of internal character development as a circle: one that starts and ends with your character's fundamental goals and motivations.

No.
The "what" in question was "a reason behind thinking character development is a measurement of popularity".
Been waiting on that reason for a few hours now. We're still all ears.
