Pick your single favorite fight from each of the 6 DB series. My are:

Early DB: Goku vs Piccolo Jr.

Z/Kai: Goku vs Majin Vegeta

GT: Goku jr. vs Vegeta jr.

Super Anime: MUI Goku, Freeza & 17 vs Jiren

Super Manga: CSSB Goku vs Merged Zamasu

The Movies: Gogeta vs Broly (DBS)

What are your choices?

DB : Goku vs Piccolo Jr.

Z/Kai : Goku vs Freeza.

Super : MUI Goku vs Jiren.

Movies : Vegeta vs Super's Broly.

GT : Did it even have one choreographed fight ?

DBZ/Z Kai: Goku and Vegeta as Vegetto vs Majin Buu

DBGT: SSJ4 Goku vs Great Ape Baby

DB Super: Goku vs Goku Black

Movies: Gogeta vs Super Broly
DB collection related goals as of now:

1.) Find decent priced copy of Dragon Box Z Vol. 4 (Done)

2.) Collect rest of manga

3.) Get rest of Daizenshuu (2-7)

DB/first half of the manga: Goku vs. Piccolo Jr.

Z/second half of the manga: Gotenks vs. Boo/Goku vs. Freeza (but only in the manga, for that second one)

GT: ...Goku/Vegeta/everyone vs. Yi Xing Long, I guess? Goku vs. Super #17 is the most fun visually, though.

Super: Goku/Freeza/#17 vs. Jiren (anime); Goku vs. Jiren (manga)

Movies: Goku vs. Broly (DBS: Broly)

Fights in DB are more fun for me when they have plot and character development wrapped into them and are actively progressing a story through their own twists and turns, rather than just when they're just delivering flashy spectacle. For that reason, Goku vs. Majin Vegeta is a fan-favorite fight that's never done anything for me--all of the interesting story content is right at the beginning, and then it's just an evenly matched bout with no particular developments until it ends. (Or, in the case of the manga, it just doesn't really exist.)

Goku vs Jackie Chun is my favorite from the first section of the manga. It's a truly unique fight, with enough levity to keep it from being bogged down in melodrama, but it's serious enough to not seem like fluff. It has a good length, plenty of unique moves that make it stand out, and a kickass insert song in the anime. Favorite fight in the franchise, hands-down.

For the Z portion of the series, it's a tie between Gohan, Krillin, Tenshinhan, Chiaotzu, and Piccolo vs. Nappa, and Vegeta, Krillin, and Gohan vs Recoome. I like these too for pretty much the same reasons. I'm a big fan of the "gang up on the strong guy" fights (possibly why I actually like the melee with Jiren in the Tournament of Power), and Nappa and Recoome are such fun, over the top characters that it doesn't get boring for me.

What’s with the fascination of Goku Jr. vs Vegeta Jr.? That was at most a 1 minute fight with no real substance.

DB - Goku vs Majunior

DBZ - Goku and Everyone vs Vegeta

DBGT - Tough one because the fights aren’t that good, but maybe the final fight with Yi Xing Long

DBS - Goku/Freeza/17 against Jiren (short fight WITH substance)

DBS Manga - Don’t really have an answer, can’t remember any fights

Movies - DBS Broly fights (can’t choose one, they all look really good)

tbh Goku vs Ledgic&Rildo looks better than every fight in dbs(first half)

The Ledgic fight was very short and the Rildo fight had 0 hand to hand choreography. Vegeta's beat down on Freeza in ep27 (which may be the shortest main fights in Super) had more choreography than every fight in GT put together.
