Today is October 25th. The day Masako Nozawa was born, back in 1936! This marks her 83rd birthday.
I am so happy knowing she is still healthy and well

Happy birthday. You can tell how much she enjoys playing Son Goku - a fact I've always appreciated.

By the way, how do you properly pronounce her name?

A very Happy birthday to you, Masako Nozawa-san. It's so amazing that she's been the voice of Goku (plus Gohan and Goten) literally about half of her life as she was in her 50's when the series started back in 1986. In addition to all the numerous other anime roles from over the past fifty some odd years she is without question a living legend as far as seiyuu go.

Also really love that drawing of the three Sons surrounding her, plus Bardock and Tullece (Turles) as well in chibi form :D
DB collection related goals as of now:

1.) Find decent priced copy of Dragon Box Z Vol. 4 (Done)

2.) Collect rest of manga

3.) Get rest of Daizenshuu (2-7)

I notice that Goku Black is missing from the picture...
Cool stuff that I upload here because Youtube will copyright claim it: https://vimeo.com/user60967147

I was about to point that out. It's a shame, because Nozawa as Black was one of my favourite things of Super.

Happy birthday to Nozawa anyway!

Her Tullece performance is very akin to her Goku Black performance anyway, so the delightful "evil Nozawa" is still represented. Happy birthday!

That's a very sweet Twitter fanart image.

Happy Birthday Ms Nozawa! Keep strong and never give up, like Goku!

Happy Birthday Masako Nozawa

Even though i did grew up on the German Voices, i do view her as the truest and most iconic Voice of Son Goku.
The first Time i heard her Voice must have been when we got Dragon Ball Z Budokai 1 on PS2 in 2002 (i think) when i was around 7 Years old. The European Version of Budokai had only the Japanese Voices, while the EU Versions of Budokai 2 & 3 only featured the Funimation Cast. Later after we got The Lord Slug Movie (German Name: "Super Saiyajin Son Goku") on DVD, i decided one Day to watch the Movie in Japanese with German subs, and there i did recocnice the Different Voices from Budokai 1 again, which was very interresting :) And after we had Internet i was, one day able to finally learn which Person that was who gave Goku that very destinct Voice in Japan :)

I wish her all the best and that she will still stay a long time with us =)
