The Facebook post above is from his wife Maria Mponikou.

Manos Venieris had also voiced Yamcha, Master Roshi and many other characters from DB and DBZ. He participated in all DB episodes and in the first 65 episodes of DBZ.

Rest in peace.

Its a scary though to think one could lose any actor that played Goku in any dub. RIP Manos.

This forum is so over-dramatic that it's not even funny.

I forgot to mention that the Facebook post above is from his wife Maria Mponikou who was the voice of Kid Krillin in DB. She appeared in some DBZ episodes as well.

Rip. IIRC Venieris did quite a lot of dubwork outside of dbz, quite sad to hear that he died.
I enjoy tinkering with video and audio.

Damn that really sucks to hear, I remember how crushed I was when Maddie Blaustein died as i'd grown up with her voice for almost a decade by that point, so it was like losing a part of my childhood.

We've lost a couple of Dragon Ball voice veterans over in the Cantonese dub side of things. Voice actress who played Goku in the first Cantonese dub of Dragon Ball passed away in Toronto. And most notably, veteran actor Tam Ping-Man died from cancer. Not sure who he played but he was listed as 宇宙大王. Think it was a character from Dr. Slump. He also voiced Dr. Cochin in the tvb redub of the old dbz movies.
The world is your's.

So sorry to hear. My heart goes out to his family, friends and of course, all the people who listened to his voice work over the years. That's fantastic how both he and his wife Maria voiced characters for Dragon Ball
