UK too here, wow, I haven't seen this yet. Do you remember what channel it was on?

It's "Rampage" by Kavinsky, as seen in the pinned comment on that first video. I remember having the same "whoa, DBZ!" thought when I first heard the track.
"Perfect" is the enemy of the good. True for Cell and true for real life.
Don't forget to slow down and enjoy yourself.

That depends on your opinion of sampling.

I’m assuming the artist paid Columbia Records (I think they hold the rights to the Japanese score) to sample the piece from Kikuchi’s library

Wow, guess DB can appear in even the most unlikely of places sometimes

Kikuchi isn't given a songwriting credit on the track which is unusual. Normally, when a musician takes a sample and uses it in a very prominent manner, the original artist is credited.

This reminds me, 7 and a half years ago this same track was used in the pre match show for the Supercup match between Dortmund and Bayern.
It bothers me that I never found it since, but I guess nobody cared enough to put it on youtube.

This is worse than Yamamoto tier plagiarism if they didnt credit Kikuchi at all.

I would have to assume they at least paid for the sample, otherwise this would’ve been taken down by now.

Maybe they are getting away with this because no one has said anything to Toei or something. Its up to us Kanzenshuu-ers and right this great wrong! DOWN WITH PLAGIARISM!

Kikuchi's name is credited in JASRAC's database, so they've done nothing illegal.

no musician with over 1 million streams on Spotify is gonna use unauthorized samples from something as known as dragon ball, just in general really lol. that's like...drum and bass stuff (the kind that wouldn't be on streaming) or a pre streaming mixtape.

That is really cool, although sadly very few people who see it on TV will pick up on where the track is from.
