Doesn’t Disney also have distribution rights to Battle og Gods, Resurrection F, and Super Broly? Probably should a stuck with that

And? Why should we freak about it? It's just another movie on the platform.
Dragon Ball was always a kid series and fans should stop being in denial.

I'd rather watch DB Evolution, than some of Disney live action remakes :P

If it inspires one young person to become a fan of the source material, then that's very cool. Of course it could scare some people away too.

I would say I’m surprised they’d bother with that, but last time I looked, they had Fant4stic on there, so I guess it’s not that crazy.

For the UK and Ireland they are on Netflix, not sure about elsewhere though.

I was actually wondering if they would bother to add that film as well. I sat through it for the first time the other day, my god, what a dreary fucking experience... But it's strange that they're adding it anyway considering how everyone at Disney, Fox and Marvel have tried their best to bury its existence.

While they may be adding some crap like Fant4stic and DB Evolution, it's a very impressive content drop, really they should have had this sorted ages ago. When I first bought D+, I was under the false impression that all the Fox assets were already included.

I don't think this is for the US? I hear only the UK and Canda is getting them.

Same here. I would rather watch DBE over most bad movies to be honest.

I have to wonder which will happen first, a good Fantastic Four movie, or a good live-action Dragonball movie. Both seem practically impossible.

Those two with Chris Evans were good, though the director's not wanting to limit Galactus for a follow up was lame. Also while the second didn't make as much as the studio wanted, they still made a lot of money.

The anime is hardly obscure or lost to time I can’t imagine anyone discovering the franchise through a movie that everyone else that isn’t a Dragon Ball fan has long since forgotten.

I dunno does Disney just throw darts at movies they have the right to decide what to put up the library or did someone say “Them kids sure like the Dragon Ball ....hey didn’t we get one of those movies when we bought out Fox?!?”

But at least the bad non MCU movies are in their own little section right?

I think the fear is a potential new fan watches Evo and says “fuck this I'm never touching anything DB”
Yamcha almost certainly did not cheat on Bulma:
He was afraid of Women, Bulma was the flirty one.
Yamcha wanted to get married (it was his gonna be his wish)
He suggested they settle down in the Trunks saga.
Alternate future Trunks is not a reliable source.
Toriyama wanted new SSJ Kids and not make new characters.

I wouldn’t worry about something like that. If DBE didn’t kill the franchise back when it came out, I can’t see it leaving any kind of dent in it at this point.

how could a movie few ever saw kill a franchise to that point had basically been over? I'm guessing the only people who have actually seen the film are already fans of Dragon Ball to begin with.

If anything, DBE probably catalyzed the revival of the franchise, if the urban legend about Toriyama being dissatisfied with the film thus subsequently getting back into DB is true.

If I had a subscription I'd consider watching it just out of curiosity. Back when I was a kid I refused to watch it to help make sure it got as little money as possible, but now I don't really care.
