This forum is so over-dramatic that it's not even funny.

Bummer. I’d may listen to his pieces but his legacy is left behind. What a passionate success he worked for the past ten years of the entire franchise.

RIP to a legend.

89 is a ripe old age to live to. I'm unlearned, when was the last time he was composing music, assuming he wasn't doing it anymore?

This one definitely hurts. He got to live to a good, ripe old age, and for that I'm thankful, and his contributions to the anime versions of Dragon Ball and Dr. Slump will not be forgotten anytime soon. But still, it just sucks how many people from the show's core cast and crew we've already lost at this point...time is cruel, it seems.

This is gonna make hearing his music again in the next Kakarot DLC and Dr. Slump on Tubi (whenever that finally gets added) very bittersweet. :(

A true legend in the music industry, he composed for many anime series over the years but Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z and Dr. Slump are by far his best known works. RIP!!!!!!

Already replied to the similar topic over in the Music thread, but again very saddened to hear this although he did have a long and very full life. RIP Kikuchi you scored a lot of series over many years though Dragon Ball/DBZ and Dr. Slump are by far the best of the lot. :(

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

Man Rest In Power Kikuchi. As a kid I was more of a Falconer fan but as I got into my 20s I became a fan of Kikuchi's music and realized that it fit the vibe of the show much better.

My condolences goes out to his family.

I knew this would happen, but I was not ready for it. He is easily one of my favorite composers ever.
