Yes.

I think KBABZ probably had the Funi dub in mind when writing this, since that's the version he watched on TV.
Maybe the Viz manga also changed it to ten years instead of seven.
Funi also had it at 7 years. Unless Kai did 10? Never watched The Final Chapters dubbed.

No idea what the Viz manga did. But with how weird some of their choices are wouldn’t surprise me.
Hm. I was sure Funi screwed the timeline on that one somehow.
There was that nonsensical “Garlic Jr was trapped in the dead zone for 10 years” thing and they changed the time between Z’s epilogue and GT from 5 to 10 years so they’ve definitely screwed up the timeline before.

And the whole making Gohan 5 1/2 before correcting it to 4 1/2 for the in-house redub. But that one’s only an error if you’re aware the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament was 5 years prior, which was originally ignored by Funi.

UK TV promos and the Sky TV guide for Blue Water GT had it as 10 years, while that dub itself never mentioned the gap.

I don't think the Funimation GT dub itself ever actually specified how long it had been either. The booklet for GT Season 1 had it as 7 years, but I don't think the dub itself ever mentioned it.

The only other time I can think of Funimation getting the timeline wrong is Roshi saying there was 5 years between the Tournaments.

When he was explaining the history of the Tenkaichi Budokai in the Cell saga? Pretty sure Toei messed up there too so Funimation was just accurately translating what they would of had no way of knowing any different at that time.

Since this is the most appropriate thread for the Bojack movie (the most recent, anyway), I figured I should say something, since I JUST watched it for the first time.

It's a GOOD Dragon Ball Z movie!

Seriously. I actually enjoyed it, unlike all the previous 8 entries, I think.

I may elaborate more on this later.

It's pretty solid, isn't it?

I do think the ending is a bit anticlimactic, but the movie is a lot of fun on the whole.
The point of Dragon Ball is to enjoy it. Never lose sight of that.

Definitely my second favorite Z movie after the first one and probably my 4th favorite Dragon Ball movie over all.

Yep! It's quite good. And, as usual, it contains a great OST by Shunsuke Kikuchi (who, by the way, passed ago recently).

About that, though, I have listened to the second Cooler movie OST, and honestly, I think it beats movie 9.

The Bojack movie is pretty enjoyable, even if the villain is not really that interesting. If I remember, King Kai said how Bojack's evil surpassed King Piccolo's, but even if King Piccolo was also pure evil, at least I did find him to be an engaging and compelling villain.
