Yea, that horrible "Season 3" music is still there on one of the English tracks.
Can you please check the ending credits for me? I'm very curious with what they've done there...
Yea, they did credit Bruce Armstrong as Captain Ginyu and Christ Sabat as Guru and Jiece. I guess they aren't from some random episode.

Well, I didn't think anyone cared about pictures from the actuall episodes being we all now know what to excpect... and I dont want to stretch out the page like I did in page 1.

I believe the question is in reference to the Japanese version's ending credit sequence, as some suspect, all of Season 1's episode credits are the same for all first 39 eps. He's wondering if the same was done on Season 2.

Well, I'd rather see caps of how individual scenes are handled than completely uninteresting menu screens, no offense.

High five, Tanooki. Thanks for the dissection.

Hey guys, is this set popping up in stores yet? Or is it just an early ship from Z-Store?

Well, getting season 2 was a little tempting for awhile... then I heard the sound clips and screenshots that brought me back to reality.

Thanks, Tanooki.

Awesome it seems like Funimation kept the same script which they originally used for the Ginu Saga, which is fine by me since I can hear Sabbat's kickass quote as Vegeta "I am a friggin genius" and his "But he's a saiyan. No bloody saiyan can be that strong" as Jeice.

Also I'm so glad that Funimation decided to drop ocean's Saiyan and Namek saga script for their remastered version afterwards and continue on with their own script which we all know and love :D

I'm so looking forward to this boxset when its releaced on May 22nd, and I've got first tabs on rushing off to Target to get my hands on it at first sight

I was at a loss of words when I heard "I am a friggin genius". *phew* :?

What I'm a littleirked about is...on the Dub Music Track, it appears they put in the Re-Dubbed Vegeta, Krillin, and Ginyu. Rather then the Dub of them from back in 1999...I mean I do have the Ginyu Saga DVD's, but still.

Are they? I was under the impression the redubbing only applied to the Japanese BGM track. Tanooki, shed some light on this?

It's true, I just got my set today. At first I was only looking at Ginyu clips, so I thought maybe just Brice Armstrong and Chris Sabat's Ginyu were sounding similar. But then I listened to the clip when Ginyu/Jeice and Goku/Vegeta are staring down. Then Vegeta says the line to Goku "I'm right behind you", it's clearly Re-Dubbed, it's not a Brian Drummond voice as on the 1999 Ginyu Saga disc.

Here's a question: Does Vic Mignogna still voice Burter in the redub of eps. 68-69?
I know in the old Season 3 dub Burter was voiced by someone totally different.

Thanks,

Chris Sabat is listed as Burter in the Credits. I didn't even know Vic did Burter...are you sure about that?

I'm quite certain that Mignogna *never* voiced Burter. Broly was the first thing he ever did for DB. I remember well since Funi hyped out that they got him for the role quite a bit with their release of Movie 8.

Wait. Wasn't there an UUE dub of these episodes that re-dubbed everyone? And if so, does that mean that there's (at least) three different FUNi dubs: the first ones done in the nineties, the UUE version, and now this version?

As for screencaps, try finding ones like in the past Season Set dissection that had chili peppers and tears in the footage .

No, only the Saiyan & Namek Saga were Re-Dubbed. Not the Captain Ginyu Saga.
