First volume/episode to premiere after you were born

Post by Shiyonasan » Fri Dec 19, 2008 9:29 pm

As the title says, which manga volume and anime episode premiered after you were born?

I was born March 22, 1992, so for me:

Manga Volume: Volume 30
Anime: Episode 133

Ironically, the Android Arc is my favorite arc in the series.

I was Born October 28th 1985, so

Manga Tankobon Volume 1: November 10, 1985
Episode 1 of Dragonball Anime: February 26, 1986

I guess that makes me old also.

Dragon Ball Volume 14
Dragon Ball episode 119 - "Kimaru ka!? Densetsu no Mafūba"

I was born in 1988, so I guess I feel kind of young.

I was born November 7th, 1984, so neither the anime nor the manga was out yet. The first chapter debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump the month afterward, whereas the manga tankoubon was September 1985. Meanwhile the first episode of DB debuted February 26, 1986.

Anime: Episode 25: "A Black Day for Planet Earth" / "Counting Down"

Manga: Volume 3 of DBZ http://www.kanzentai.com/tankoubon.php?id=19

Ironically enough, That happens to be my favorite DBZ episode. Tenshinhan is a total BA in that one :D

I was born on December 29, 1991
As there was a gap of no episodes between the 18th and January 15 of 1992, I have to go with the January one

"Mystery Revealed"
"Boku no Chichi wa Bejiita desu… Nazo no Syōnen no Kokuhaku"

And for the manga

Chapter 13 of DBZ

Quite an interesting, round-a-bout way to kinda ask how old everyone is :P.

But yeah... born before the whole thing started... it was but a primordial pile of poo (possibly on the end of a stick) in Toriyama's mind...

Dragon Ball Volume 29, released March 15, 1992. The Z Fighters take on the Androids, with Vegeta now ale to become a Super Saiyan. Androids 17 and 18 are released from their pods. Released a month after I was born.

Dragon Ball Z Episode 128 "Goku, Double Shock!! Caught Between Illness and Adversary" or "Double Trouble for Goku," released February 19, 1992. Goku takes on Android 19, but his heart gives out before the battle finishes. Released one day after I was born.

Wow, the anime was pretty close to the manga back then, and I don't recall any serious filler in the Android Saga to create a good gap. This episode is like what? Three or four chapters behind the manga?
