Buu's Physiology

Post by fleahop » Wed Sep 15, 2021 10:43 pm

Does Buu have a smallest division possible or core/cores? I ask this because he was killed by the Genki dama, but we had seen him re-form from practically nothing.

Is it a down to the cellular level and if it's literally one cell can he replicate back from that? What about those inside? So many questions, not sure if there are any answers.

I think Buu reforms and manipulates his physiology on the atomic level. You would need to destroy every single particle of his essence to properly kill him. The only other way I can think of is depleting Buu of stamina and rendering him unable of reforming his body. Wasn't it mentioned that only another Buu could deplete his ki? This creature does seem to require highly specialised methods for defeating.

Boo was born from the evil of mortals so he also had some kind of metaphysical aspect to his being. Additionally, the Genki Dama is usually touted as being something that only pure beings can wield & touch safely so it apparently worked to cancel out his evil along with the sheer power of the Genki Dama acting as a consecutive force to utterly overwhelm Boo. That may even explain how Enma was able to reincarnate Boo so quickly as the Genki Dama 'purified' Boo and what remained didn't need to go through the process of being in hell to be cleansed.

What I'm confused by is how Buu still has so much ki after regenerating from dust. Does he contain massive amounts of ki in a few cells? Does he anticipate the damage and move his ki around?

I don't know if ki is even stored in the cells, but it kinda seems that way. S cells implies this as well

He does seem to have stamina though, which is really confusing. Then again, as someone else stated already he may only really be damaged by certain attacks, which makes sense. If only certain attacks damage him he may just lose stamina from that.

Another option is he has near limitless stores of energy he can pull on from some magical area. What if that area actually starts to deplete though and it takes time to refill? Like a magical battery for Buu. Also the more pure the Buu, the easier it is for them to use this. Could explain why his default isn't to absorb everyone.

Just spitballing. Guy's got a lot of mystery to him. I may be in agreement that he can revive from the atomic level though. There's a few instances where this seems to be the case. Unless his individual cells are unbelievably powerful.

Since Buu is basically magic bubble gum, I would find it odd if he even had cells at all (although according to FighterZ he apparently does...)

He was blasted to dust a few times, but dust particles are still larger than cells. I guess there's no way to really know.

Cell, being a biological organism, can regenerate from a single cell. Buu is a magical being. He can regenerate from mere molecules of whatever he's made of. It's the closest thing we've seen to immortality, short of Zamasu, who was granted immortality, and whose consciousness survived the destruction of his physical body.
