http://www.kanzenshuu.com/forum/viewtop ... =8&t=13789 Might as well just look at this topic, when someone very similarly asked about these pages, for whatever Broli related reasons... I even translated part of the page, before Herms gave his much better translation.

Re: The All-Purpose "Translation Request" Thread
Well, that's (almost certainly) a fake thrown together by someone with competent Japanese but no sense of how Toriyama actually talks. Or what a V-Jump Q&A with Toriyama would actually look like, for that matter.valfranx wrote:taking advantage what this other text says about broly?
This one looks legit, but the way it's cropped there's no way to tell who's saying it or where it was printed. The question is why Broli was revived 3 times (...shouldn't that just be 2 times?...), and the anonymous answer is that he's, like, totes the strongest guy ever, so they had to have him make 3 appearances.valfranx wrote:more is this image?
Edit: Well, according to the Japanese Wikipedia page on Broli, this Q&A is from the Dragon Box: the Movies booklet, and the guy answering is Takao Koyama, the guy who did the scripts for DBZ movie 8 and virtually all the other ones. I guess Heath or someone could confirm or deny this easily enough.

Yep, it's top half of page 54 from the movie Dragonbook, the 3rd page of the 4-page Koyama Q&A session.Herms wrote: Edit: Well, according to the Japanese Wikipedia page on Broli, this Q&A is from the Dragon Box: the Movies booklet, and the guy answering is Takao Koyama, the guy who did the scripts for DBZ movie 8 and virtually all the other ones. Totally legit.

Thank herms.
then continued broly getting stronger, in each apparition. not weaker. I was surprised to know that bio-broly is nothing weak as many think.

Re: The All-Purpose "Translation Request" Thread
Haven't you or someone else here already translated that? I remember reading something along the lines of 'I figured, he couldn't be dead' et cetera when talking about Broly.Herms wrote: This one looks legit, but the way it's cropped there's no way to tell who's saying it or where it was printed. Edit: This- "Broli was just that strong, so at the end of "Burn Up!!~", I figured he wasn't dead. At any rate, it's because he was set up as the strongest Saiyan."
Voltaire: "I have never made but one prayer to God, a very short one: 'O Lord, make my enemies ridiculous.' And God granted it."

I don't know, if somebody already asked about this before or if it got translated, so please ignore this post, if it was translated already, but:
What do these pages say?Could somebody please translate it or just point out interesting or important informations?
Cardle calls these ''movie mangas'' or ''Oops''(I have no idea, what does ''Oops'' mean.)

The "movie manga" are essentially what they say on the tin. They're just the movies or the anime put into panel form. Basically, you can read the movie, instead of watching it.

Re: The All-Purpose "Translation Request" Thread
What do you expect? It's Takao Koyama answering, and Broli is his baby. The way he brought up the character in his criticism of Battle of Gods was kind of self-serving and pathetic, to be honest.valfranx wrote:Thank herms.

the terms in Dragon Ball
Hi,
For the japanese speakers:
Do you know what is the difference, in Dragon Ball, between these terms? :
Sento-ryoku, Sento-noryoku, Jitsuryoku,
Senzai-ryoku, Senzai-noryoku and
pawa (power in english) ?
Have they the same signification or are there some differences?

Re: the terms in Dragon Ball
I could be snarky and apply different kanji to the readings, but I guess I'll just do a straight-up translation:nicrimo wrote:Hi,

Sentō-ryoku (戦闘力): Combat Power (the ever-popular "power levels")
Sentō-nōryoku (戦闘能力): Fighting Ability (i.e., how good you are at fighting)
Jitsuryoku (実力): Skill (self-explanatory)
Senzai-ryoku (潜在力): Dormant/Latent Power (the strength that lies within you)
Senzai-nōryoku (潜在能力): Dormant/Latent Ability/-ies (look at all those cool powers you didn't know you had!)
Pawā (パワー): Power (so, yeah...)

Re: The All-Purpose "Translation Request" Thread
What does this say? Is there anything on Gohan being a SSJ2 against Dabura here?
Vegeta: "Funny... I seem to recall Kakarot being fed the same information right before he transformed; the distinct look on your faces when he went Super Saiyan didn't exactly inspire confidence. One does not predict or calculate power like ours."

There is also no number "2" visible (apart from the page number), which should be a dead giveaway.Shoryuken wrote:It has already been translated before in a previous thread.TheMightyOzaru wrote:What does this say? Is there anything on Gohan being a SSJ2 against Dabura here?

Re: The All-Purpose "Translation Request" Thread
Well, "Super Saiyan beyond Super Saiyan" was used at that point in the story.
Re: The All-Purpose "Translation Request" Thread
If anyone would be willing to answer it'd be much appreciated.
Does the term Kaioshin-kai refer to either the planet and the actual realm?

Re: The All-Purpose "Translation Request" Thread
Well, anyone with the actual material should be able to correct me on this, but going merely by the Japanese translation aspect of it, I would say "Kaioushin-kai" is the realm itself. It would most likely be "Kaioushin-sei", if the planet had such an unimaginative name.
