Goku going SSJ3 destroying 1/10 of the Earth, fact or not?

I believe it was actually stated somewhere to have happened, but can't remember where. Does anyone have a manga or magazine scan stating he did indeed destroy 1/10 of the Earth? I've also heard by him going SSJ3, it was actually 1/10 of the entire population, but I don't believe so.

Buu fired a Kamehameha at Goku while he was Super Saiyan 3. Goku deflected it back at him, he in turn deflected it off into the distance, and it exploded. Babidi said this:

Chapter: 475 (DBZ 281), P8.3
Context: after Goku deflects Boo’s Kamehameha and it hits the Earth
Babidi: “That just now destroyed a tenth of the Earth, didn’t it!? You’re a terrible champion of justice!”

I'd assume someone's mixing this up to get what you said, but it could be that there's a piece of filler I'm forgetting.

It wasn't him actually transforming to Super Saiyan 3, it was from a Kamehameha which Boo fired but Goku deflected off over the horizon.

Damn, pre-empted. That's what I get for caring enough to provide a picture.

Yeah, so? What's the problem? It was Majin Boo's Kamehameha. Europe and Asia doesn't exist on DB Earth, which may or may not be the same as real-life Earth.

Anyway, Bobbodi was merely estimating. It may or may not have been exactly one-tenth of Earth, but around that.

That scene was always amazing. I can only wonder how far Tenshinhan and Chaoztu were from ground zero, and the blast is that powerful... it's clearly greater than all the nuclear weapons on Earth combined could have been. Vegeta commented it was reducing the value of Earth, and when we see the blast from orbit I can just imagine a huge desert scar left behind there.

Didn't it actually show all the Z senshi on Earth reacting to the blast, all of them feeling it no matter where they were on Earth at that time?

If we take Babidi's comment at face value, it becomes a matter of how you define "destroyed". Did it annihilate a tenth of the Earth's mass? If so, wouldn't gravity be a tenth weaker all of a sudden? That's probably applying too much real physics to it, though. Alternatively, it could just mean that the blast from the attack flattened a tenth of the Earth's surface. Kind of like what Nappa did, but on an even larger scale.

Also, was "one tenth" of Earth's mass being destroyed in terms of how deep the impact from that explosion had went as well? If so, then Earth is absolutely done for. A large section of the Mantle (as in a huge amount of Lava) is exposed, and that's not taking into account the massive amounts of dust that would be thrown up from the blast alone and the explosion itself that would make the K-T impact look like a damp firework.

I think it was like what Nappa did. Big explosion, everything gets wiped out, but it just leaves a crater. I doubt it caused a volcano or affected gravity or anything like that.

Basically, I think you guys are over-analyzing it and applying real-life science to a series that its author obviously didn't think too much about. Bobbodi's line simply means, "Haha, you just destroyed a big part of Earth! You're a crap hero!"
