The context of my post was, that, Akira Toriyama never had it shown what oocured in the training, other than saying that they would and ONE title page that shows SS Goku fighting off Piccolo and Gohan, from the looks of it.
You can rely on the Anime if you want, I just choose to show the counter point. Sorry if I come off as arrogant, I'm just more adjusted to MFG, where intelligent discussion is far less prominent.

I don't know what happened in the anime there. I'm going according to what was said and shown in the manga. Since they went back to Goku's place right away, you can assume that there wasn't much tech involved in their training.
