Yes, I have a DB Question (Cosplay)

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

So he IS cosplaying as King Vegeta? Are you sure? Maybe he's cosplaying as a fanfic Saiyan. Look at his cape and hair: NOTHING like King Vegeta, and like you all noted, he has no beard or mustache.
It seems like King Vegeta to me. His hair does look wonky, but it still seems like that was his ultimate goal. I would have to say he was trying to capture how the hair comes out from behind his head during a front or head shot. Even so he still forgot the mustache.
Best. Slip 'n' slide. EVER!

*pats Dayspring on the back* There, there Dayspring, I know it's traumatizing. It's definitely either King Vegeta or at the very least Vegeta in his royal armor since it has that insignia on his left chest plate.

Though not cosplayers, I find this as one of the funniest DB-related pics ever:

And if people didn't know who they were, I think they would mistake them for being crazy fanboys or something.

That's the magic of cosplay. Especially American cosplayers. They rarely tend to get the outfits right when they make them themselves and they hardly look the part for their characters. Have you seen all the 250lb girls who thought they could pull off looking like a rather slim girl with revealing clothing? :(

 I almost had a heart attack from the bad mental image...

As for the King Vegeta/whatever, it looks like a very shitty costume anyway, so I don't particularly care. 8) [/quote]

That Dende looks pretty cool.
Jord doesn't have a avatar because the combination of Jord and a equally cool avatar would cause the universe to implode.

See, I don't have a problem with that person that's 250lbs dressing as Sailor Moon, as long as the costume is well made and accurate. They have just as much right to dress as their favourite character than someone that's 110 lbs., which by the way, I've seen bad cosplay from them too. Trust me, it doesn't matter *what* size you are if the cosplay is bad, you don't look good.

And speaking of "pulling off anime females", half of them have bodies and proportions that are impossible to pull off from women that are perfectly slim anyway. :P

Maybe so, but no one likes to see a fatty in tight, short clothing. :P Neither male or female.

He's older Gohan's VA, right?

And who is that next to Sabat?

Yeah he's older Gohan's VA, as well as the narrator season 5 onward.

The girl next ro Sabat is Laura Bailey (Little Trunks0 and in between her and Mr. Schemmel is Kara Edwards (Videl/Goten).

Yes, I actually found some more pictures. Some are good, some aren't so good to put it tactfully. You be the judge.

First some Buus:

Mr. Satan:

Gohan:

Always have to have some Vegetas and some Trunks:

Don't forget the DBZ women:

Is it just me, or do the women seem to do a more accurate and better job than the guys most of the time?

Yes, most of the time, and that Chichi is fine man, she is doing it.

Ya that's one of the few where my theory about female cosplayers being better at pulling stuff off, sort of hits a snag..... >_>

Wow, that last batch was terrible. The exception being the Chi-chi, that girl was pulling it off quite believably. The African-American dude as Vegeta made me chuckle in a good way. The costume was only so-so, but he had enough style to get the pose/stance almost perfect. If he had a better costume and a little more hair gel to spike up his 'fro, he'd be able to pull it off with some very decent results IMO.
