Piccolo Becoming SSJ-Level Pre-Kami

I just remembered that vegeta had to bluff his way out of his fight with 20 after beating 19 due to the energy he lost. Now, vegeta didn't seem that tired or that weakened and was still in ssj state but he clearly wouldn't have bluffed his way out if he thought he'd still destroy 20.
That tells me that if 20 called his bluff vegeta would've lost, the fact that piccolo takes apart a stronger form of 20 suggests that piccolo was stronger than vegeta (after energy absorbed).

I'm not saying this means piccolo = vegeta but I think it shows piccolo was atleast low tier ssj.
