Most brilliant minds in the Dragonball multiverse?

Post by Captain Sauza » Wed Apr 01, 2015 7:22 pm

Who would you say are the most intelligent characters? There are some obvious ones like Dr Gero and Dr Brief, but who else would you consider to be among the smartest just based on their backgrounds or what not?

I'd say Sauza would be up there based on his bio - apparently he can speak 7,000 languages.

Despite his stupid mistake in his act of desperation against Trunks, King Cold is probably up there in smarts just based on his age and experience. I'd imagine he's learned a lot during his time as leader of his organization.

Bulma for me was always the most intelligent character in Dragon Ball.

Ginyu definitely stood out a bit for a baddie in his own context. He was more aware of things than his teammates when it came to combat and overall experience.

Vegeta is obscenely cunning during the Namek arc.

Piccolo has more than a few exceptional moments of intelligence. This is made abundantly clear when Buu absorbs Piccolo & Gotenks.

Whis probably knows more than anybody who has ever appeared in the Dragon Ball canon.

Cell, if he had lived longer, probably would have outstripped almost anybody. He was already brilliant when he showed up.

Baby. Hell, this guy made another scientist create him. This was just plainly awesome. And everything that he constructed by means of Myu was a pure genius, it is sad that in the end he succumbed to his emotions and hate towards the saiyans, and became the same as Frieza.

He almost got Videl killed in Battle of Gods tho.

Krillin was also quite a combat pragmatist from time to time.

Freeza was shown to quite savvy as the fith he did when he reached his final form was kill Dende so that nobody could heal the Z-Fighters.

Super Buu was insanely cunning, he was practically seconds away from winning, if wasn't for the Z-Fighters being absurdly lucky. And he technically lost a battle either.

King Piccolo is also extremely strategic. he was so savvy in battle, he checked Goku's pulse to confirm he was dead. He actually won, although his victory was quite brief.

Dr Gero, for all intelligence, did some amazingly stupid shit. Kidnapping two rebellious teenagers and making them more powerful than you is already stupid enough. Repeatedly mouthing off at said rebellious teenagers, whom, again, you made to be more powerful than you, is like hanging a "kill me" sign on your own neck. Seriously, what an idiot. No wonder in every timeline he's killed by #17.

Future Trunks was also quite intelligent in battle. He loves to fight dirty.

As far as intelligence goes this how I would rank them:

1. Bulma
2. Whis
3. Dr Briefs
4. The Tuffles
5. Dr Gero
6. King Piccolo
7. Super Buu
8. Imperfect Cell
9. Vegeta (Saiyan arc - Namek arc)
10. Piccolo
11. Future Trunks
12. Ginyu
13. Krillin
14. Freeza
15. Sauza

Wouldn't supreme Kai or old Kai have the most brilliant minds in the universe. Since they cans create anything or summon anything they want. With their incredible knowledge and been watching over millions of worlds. Wouldn't they know of everything out there. I mean they know of the 12 universes and such. Also with old Kai merging with that witch. And knows of an unlocking potential spell. And I know this isn't cannon by he also knows of ssj4

Why can't people remember what a brilliant scientist Bardock was?

There are different types of intelligence.

Technological - Bulma or Gero
Strategy - Vegeta
Manipulation - Vegeta
Wisdom - Piccolo
Knowledge - Old Kai
Business - King Cold (in my headcanon)
Quick thinking - Krillin
Martial arts adaptability - Goku
Deduction - Piccolo

Presumably, Beerus and Whis outstrip all of them in most/each category.

Gohan deserves it.

I made a thread like this a few years ago and if I recall, it was down to Senbei and Bulma.
