What would be their roles ?

I have Goku as stereotypical nice guy jock.
Vegeta as the badboy who is anti-social and smokes cigar.
Bulma the dumb blonde cheerleader.
Yamcha the pretty boy who who is also on the football team but spends most of his time on his appearance.

If the DB cast were placed in a high school setting... a majority of the cast would left behind for several years while Goku and Vegeta would be the only ones who graduate.

I'm not sure if there's a limit as to what characters we're allowed to assign so I'll just go with who's in the picture.

Roshi is definitely the teacher
16 is the quiet kid
I agree that Goku would a friendly jock
Also with Vegeta being a silent badman
Yajirobe is the kid that always slacks off
Oolong is your typical pervert
Another thing I agree with is Bulma being the dumb hottie
It also makes sense that Yamcha is a desperate pretty boy
Chichi focuses mostly on school work, but has a decent amount of friends
Piccolo is very studious and athletic
Ten and Lunch are a couple that keeps to themselves
Chaozu is one of their few close friends
Kuririn is a nerd
Lapis and Lazuli are the two no-good kids
And Pu'erh I guess is the class pet

Also, I think this would work better in a college setting.

Bardock was the one who founded the school, dying afterwards. And Gine is a ghost who haunts the school at night looking for Kakarot. :P

If it did, it should be revolved around Generation 2:

Son Goku (freshmen; age:15): Top school athlete, loveable oaf socially, expert in martial arts, and barely average student (much to his adoptive grandfather's dismay)
Kuririn (sophomore; age:16): Goku's best friend, a bit smart-mouthed, and socially cautious
Bulma (junior; age:17-18): Goku's 2nd best friend, tech savvy, a bit of a loveable alpha bitch (she talks down to Yajirobe, Oolong, and sometimes Kuririn but helps people at any chance notably Chi-Chi), and top-notch student
Oolong (freshmen; age:15): Pervert and below-average student
Yamcha (junior; age:17): A (wanna be) delinquent, thinks he and Vegeta are rivals (but Vegeta doesn't take him seriously in the slightest), has a troubled home, and has a massive crush on Bulma (then later Chi-Chi) but is extremely shy around females (due to his older sisters bullying him all the time)
Puar (freshmen: age:13): Yamcha's assistant flying blue-cat and best freind
Chi-Chi (freshmen; age:15): Tohoku resident, New in town, daddy's little girl, also expert in martial arts, good student, deceivingly quick to anger, tomboyish but tries to be feminine, and crush on Goku (but can't express it well)
Piccolo (freshmen; age:2): A lone wolf, misunderstood, and super top-notch student
Vegeta (senior; age:18): A widely feared delinquent, aggressive, beats Yamcha easily every time they fight, envious of Goku, and also has a troubled home
Lapis (sophomore; age:16): The adventurous and reckless twin brother of Lazuli, also a delinquent, is Vegeta's true rival, and is very protective of his sister
Lazuli (sophomore; age:16): An ice queen, object of Kuririn's affection (which she rarely returns), and is extremely close to her twin brother (her being the more level-headed)

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

Forgot about it. Lapis should also be Vegeta's legit rival.

Goku would be the kid that starts off on the JV team in his freshman year, and then is captain of the show by the time he turns senior.
