Is Shen Long endless?

What I mean is, in the anime, whenever Shen Long is summoned, his tail/end of his body, keeps coming out of the Dragon Balls. It's never conveyed as moving in the manga. I know GT made him have and end when they were flying, but I'm taking canon Shen Long. Does Shen Long's body keep going or does it stop?

It sure seems like he's endless but I'd say he does have a tail. In some shots you can clearly see his rear legs and after those his body starts to taper off and grow thinner and thinner till it meets the dragon balls. Whether the tapering is due to the magic of the dragon balls or not, I can't say but with how he's drawn (I've never seen Shen long with more then four legs.) I'd assume his tail would come not long after his rear legs show. Plus you know as TDC pointed out above.

However a small sidenote is how outrageously inconsistent his size is across the franchise! The above image is from Dragon Ball when Goku is reviving Bora but below are some examples of just how big (and small.) they will draw him sometimes. Which probably is the reason we ask this question.

I only noticed Shen Long's endless body the other day. Given that Shen Long isn't immortal and can be recreated and destroyed, maybe the term "Eternal Dragon" refers to his body size, not his lifespan. His body doesn't end, it's eternal.

Shenron maybe has no shape at all or that is the original shape of the shenron itself.

He could be already senile by that statement because dragon god has existed since old kai era and old kai fear it. It's restricted only for namekian because they're peace loving races he must be have forgotten about that ruling.

Well, Shenron is quite inconsisten in size. That has always happened on the show and movies. I don't think he is endless though.

What I just noticed, he has 4 fingers. That's why when watching Super he looked wrong somehow... he had 5 fingers there.
