Really silly, if the powers that be are going to keep on insisting on the original timeline, when as Speedster correctly points out, it doesn't make a lick of sense.
If anything every new piece of information we get in the actual stories just further corroborates his timeline, lol.
They clearly aren't following the actual timeline as it's supposed to work, so it must be intentional or they are just that bad at keeping things consistent. Either way the numbers we have been given are what they are and we'll have to assume those are the current facts, until they come out and admit their math was way off and retcon it all again

But how can that be if the timeline presented in this thread also doesn't make much sense?

By placing Goku being sent to Earth in AGE 740 also establishes that the beginnng of Dragon Ball takes place in AGE 750. Omori (as a narrator) says that Jaco, the Galactic Patrolman is an event that took place "ten years ago", and after those ten years, we see the beginning of Dragon Ball. However, our friend here acknowledges that the beginning of Dragon Ball is in AGE 749 (as it should be, anyway). If we go by "AGE 750", then everything else that follows it also changes.

They place the beginning of Dragon Ball and the 21st tournament in the same year, ignoring the eight-month timeskip. If we are to assume that tournaments are always held in May, that means the training started in September of AGE 749, then the eight-month training ocurred, then comes the tournament in May, AGE 750.

They place the Raditz fight in the same year as the fight against Nappa and Vegeta, even though it's outright stated that there is a one-year timeskip between these two events.

Where's Tarble OVA and its two-year timeskip? This changes everything post-Majin Buu saga.

To Akira Toriyama, Movie 14 takes place years after Majin Buu saga. As stated in multiple interviews. Here they place it merely one year after Majin Buu saga (reminder that Tarble is mentioned in this very movie).

And as I already pointed out: if Majin Buu saga takes place AGE 772, that means the 28th tournament takes place in AGE 782 (it's outright stated that the tournament is ten years after Majin Buu saga). We have our friend saying that Pan was born in AGE 774. That means she's eight years old by the time the tournament happens, contradicting the series (and its "four years" piece of information). This also affects Bra, who would be seven years old in this weird scenario.
Goodbye friend. You are weak, so you must be destroyed!

Valid point. Well it's hard to get something completely consistent out of something so inconsistent to begin with, so even this can only get so close to something resembling a proper consistent timeline and will have to arbitrarily decide what to keep and what to throw out.
Bottom line is the guys in charge are now working with numbers that do not go well together with the established timeline.
