How strong are Garlic Jr's henchmen in the filler saga?
Not the ones from the Deadzone movie, the ones in the Garlic Jr. saga.
We see Gohan vaporize them and Piccolo take out the others, yet at first both Krillin and Gohan get beaten pretty badly by them. Since this is directly after the Freeza saga I don't think Gohan or Krillin could take out the Ginyu Force yet, so I'd probably place them below Recoome but above Zarbon. Thoughts?

I think they're all way above Ginyu. I personally see Spice and Vinegar being above Freeza's first form with Salt and Mustard being less than that.
When Spice and Vinegar get that Makyo Star power-up, I see them being around second form Freeza, if not a bit stronger. All of them are weaker than Gohan when he's fighting seriously.
Krillin might still be weaker than Ginyu, but Gohan most definitely isn't.

Really? Outside of Gohan's rage-induced power boosts I still have trouble seeing that Gohan being able to take out the Ginyu Force. Gohan caught Freeza by surprise in his second form, but he never did any real damage.

Officially, by his height of power increase during the Freeza Saga, Kuririn was up to 75,000, and between his near-death power-ups and having a higher potential for Saichorou to tap into, it's unreasonable to assume Gohan being anywhere near that low. For Gohan, officially, with no indication of it being a rage calculation or not, Gohan's strength was 200,000, which would put him easily well above every member of the Ginyu Tokusentai.precita wrote:Really? Thing is, Gohan still displays far more power than Vegeta, who's more powerful than Ginyu. Goku using the lowest level of Kaioken was enough to make Ginyu shit himself.precita wrote:Really? Also, filler shows Gohan being strong enough to knock around Freeza at 50-70% of his power. Freeza even goes back to 100% of his power because he'd rather not take any chances. Gohan's pretty powerful.

He never said that,he just said that he want Gohan to experience the same Power that killed his father.Super Saiyan Turlast x4 wrote:Thing is, Gohan still displays far more power than Vegeta, who's more powerful than Ginyu. Hm, Gohan seemed to vaporize the last two pretty easily even after their power up.
Also Piccolo was doing quite decently against Garlic Jr, it was only Kami being attacked that made him lose. I'm guessing Garlic Jr. is about as strong as Freeza's second form.

I think their powerlevel are probably at between 200,000 and 500,000. Even Garlick Jr. himself seems barely at 1,000,000.

Re: How strong are Garlic Jr's henchmen in the filler saga?
I have all of the henchman above at least 300,000, but no higher than 600,000.
Spoiler:
Re: How strong are Garlic Jr's henchmen in the filler saga?
If you ask me, Krillin should be at least at 80,000 and he was beaten by all of them. So at above 100,000 for Salt who's by far the weakest.
Re: How strong are Garlic Jr's henchmen in the filler saga?
This is about right. I'd put the last two henchmen, with the Makyo Star powerup at a little over first form Freeza so round about 600,000. Final Garlic is double or triple that at around 1,200,000 - 1,800,000. Piccolo is stronger than he was on Namek. Since nearly a year had passed, I'd probably double his power at the very least, so he'd be somewhere over 2,000,000, likely 2,400,000. Scaling Piccolo that high, Garlic would have to be closer to 1,800,000.

I'd say they range from stronger than ginew saga kaioken Goku to a bit less than a million in power level
Gohan basically Beats all of them with rage boosts

Re: How strong are Garlic Jr's henchmen in the filler saga?
Let's say that Krillin got to train under King Kai till his second resurrection, meaning he - like everyone else who got to train there - became much stronger than before (Piccolo especially). From there, I will try to scale the saga:
Krillin: 125,000
- Full power: 150,000
Gohan: 300,000
- Fighting low-key: 450,000
- Seriously fighting: 900,000
- Angry: 1,500,000
- Masenko at the Makyo Star: 2,000,000
Piccolo: 1,450,000
- Lowering his ki and pretending to be possessed: 1,100,000
- Fighting Garlic Jr.: 1,800,000
- Fading away because of Kami's injuries: 500,000
Garlic Jr.: 800,000
- Transformed: 1,600,000
- Makyo Star empowered: 1,900,000
- Powerless: 20
Spice: 460,000
- Makyo Star empowered: 750,000
Vinegar: 420,000

Re: How strong are Garlic Jr's henchmen in the filler saga?
This is probably the most unreliable source ever, but I like the numbers the Dragon Ball Wikia claims this game gives:
Overall I think the basic chain gets respected. Zalt and Tard stomp Kuririn but get killed by Gohan. The other two were stronger from the get go and are said by either Jr or themselves to grow many times stronger when the Makyo Star draws near, forcing Gohan to get another rage boost, and with a Masenko he pushes Jr back into the Dead Zone.
Gohan should probably be lowered a bit since he needed a rage boost to kill Zalt and Tard, so I’d say 600k is his enraged power and he was in the 400-450k before. Kuririn at 100k is exactly where I have him post Namek, and 2 million is a good middle ground between 1 million+ Namek Piccolo and “wanna try me, Vegeta?” Piccolo from when Goku comes back. His buff power is either equal or above Jr, can’t remember which.Gohan: 600,000
Krillin: 100,000
Piccolo: 2,000,000
Garlic Jr.: 1,500,000
Garlic Jr. (Powered Up by Makyo Star): 3,000,000
Spice: 1,000,000

Vinegar: 800,000

These numbers aren't bad. I also agree with Gohan being a little too high along with the Spice Boys. I'd drop them all down by like 200,000 to 300,000. I'm pretty sure Piccolo was well above all the henchmen even after they got their powerups.GreatSaiyaman123 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 22, 2022 1:08 pm This is probably the most unreliable source ever, but I like the numbers the Dragon Ball Wikia claims this game gives:

Re: How strong are Garlic Jr's henchmen in the filler saga?
Even roided out by the star I think the spice boys are probably at or under base Freeza. The problem is Piccolo should really wipe the floor with the spice boys. That is probably why they wrote around it for half the arc. Maybe Garlic Jr power boost was exponential hence the reason why they had to destroy the star instead of him.
