If Naruto was a Dragonball character, how far would he go?

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

The universal shockwaves from BoG were outright states and shown to come from Beerus and SSG Goku's powerful punches. So yes, it does say a lot about their strength.

Whereas in OPM, there's virtually nothing in the series implying that Saitama is above small-planet level.
The whole universe-destroying stuff in the anime is very weird. Their clash doesn’t even look that strong and the shockwaves move in a strange, as if it is in slow motion, which doesn’t make me buy that is supposed to be a fight between gods. At least, that’s my impression. OPM makes everything flow in a fast pace, that’s how it look like a fight between gods. Maybe I’m being unfair because Dragon Ball has an younger audience.
Morishita Kouzou (Toei Chairman, producer of Dragon Ball Z) meddled early on in the production of Dragon Ball Super and rendered the series very far behind schedule. As a result of Morishita's meddling, the poor character designs and the fact that the series has few skilled animators available (scheduling is hard when an episode needs to air in a month), episodes were unable to be produced at a high-quality. Conversely, the first season of One-Punch Man had not only a long production schedule a main staff in Series Director Natsume Shingo and Character Designer & Chief Animation Supervisor Kubota Chikashi (who would later go on to animate a part of Gogeta versus Broli) that were friends with a lot of skilled animators. Furthermore, as opposed to Dragon Ball Super having only one action specialist storyboarding for the series (Hatano Morio, storyboard artist and director of Episode #14) during it's first two arcs One-Punch Man had Series Director Natsume Shingo storyboarding Episodes #1-3 and #12.

Those shock-waves would have looked good if anyone was actually available to work on the series. The only good animator working on the series regularly was Tate Naoki and his drawings were either being fucked up by corrections or he was given far too few drawings to make exciting movement. I recall Tate's first good episode being Episode #26. Tate had to rush out Episode #5 after working on the Opening and Episode #2 and was then lest mostly unsupported for Episode #11. Tate Naoki's Kamehame-Ha scene in Episode #5, Takahashi Yuuya's brief part at the end of Episode #13 and Oonishi Ryou's brief opening skirmish in Episode #14 were the only good pieces of animation in that first arc.

Hell, the best Toei cartoon during that era was Tiger Mask W, which premiered a year later in October 2016. Damned near all of the studios talent worked on that series producing a ton of good fights. Kamatani Haruka came into her own as a director and Watanabe Koudai even got to debut as a storyboard artist for the last episode.

Oh, I'm terribly off on a tangent now. Whoops.

Whether or not a fight "looks" strong is irrevelant. What matters is the feats and the results, and the results of Saitama vs Boros aren't even close to the environmental damage of most DB fights.

And both OPM and DragonBall have the same audience. They're both Shonen series.

One Punch Man is actually a seinen. So he's somewhat right. It targets an older audience than Dragon Ball.

Though "targeted" audience may be way different than actual audience, so you could also be right.

I don't know how fair the comparison is. Saitama's fights are animated with the spectacle in mind and Dragon Ball has always been very neat with its violence. Despite the super powers, fights in Dragon Ball are still animated as if these were regular martial artists fighting so punches and kicks don't have much effect until the kill shot. Also not helping is the plastic look everyone in Super has (except Broly, mercifully)

But I do agree with you. The Boros fight was something else. Even setting aside things like an entire deck being wiped out by the blow back of their exchanges, the way the fight was edited is absolutely fantastic. The fight has a whole arc for Boros to go through and towards the end you're almost rooting for the space pirate/conqueror. Which is something DB has seriously lacked since like Cell-era.
I have a few criticisms with OPM's animation style that I actually think Dragon Ball as a whole, does better. For one, often times the animated sequences in OPM were a bit too chaotic to tell what was going on. Another thing I don't like is the amount of shortcuts it takes, which is a problem in a lot of other animes, but Dragon Ball often doesn't do. For e.g. when Tatsumaki summoned a meteor to destroy a monster, it completely skips the explosion. We see the meteor fall towards Earth, we "hear" the explosion, and then it cuts to showing the crater and the dead monster. That really irked me.

OPM did this a lot, and there's a lot of examples of this in the Boros fight. When Dragon Ball does an explosion, it REALLY does an explosion, even in Super. Another criticism I have for OPM is the sound design. In OPM, a lot of the sound effects are underwhelming. Early Super also suffered from underwhelming sound design, but it got better later (imo around the second half of the Universe 6 saga when they started fighting Hit).

For example: Boros charging up his energy blast, and firing it. There's almost no sound design at all to go with it apart from some generic soft thunder sounds. You barely hear anything at all though, where as we all know that the Kamehameha has such a signature and enthralling sound design to go with it. But even if some nobody character in Dragon Ball fires an energy blast, there's a lively sound effect to go with it. And it's not just energy blasts. Its the sound of punches landing that I think Dragon Ball does better (except again, in early Super).

Season 2 of OPM started to get better with its sound effects though. They added some really cool sound effects to Genos, and it made it much easier to "feel" his fight scenes.

I think he said that Madara (one of the final villains) was as strong as Nappa, which fits. The strongest villain in Shippuden is planetary+ level at best, which is already Nappa's and early DBZ's levels.

Or well I don't know if he actually said that, it might just be a rumor. But I always see a lot of people saying that end Naruto power levels are around Nappa's level. Take this with a grain of salt, but I think feat-wise it makes sense.

I disagree, but I would wish to continue this discussion somewhere else, if you don’t mind.

I don't. I have seen many people claiming this, but no matter how hard i look I can't find a convincing source. That's why I said to take what I wrote with a grain of salt.

Naruto and the Shinobi would be faster than just about every Dragon Ball character.

Characters like Naruto, Madara, Sasuke, and the Ōtsutsuki clan members would be on the level of final form Frieza in terms of power.

Ninjas could probably bridge the power gap using their techniques, speed, and brutal fighting styles. Like what Hit does.

I really, REALLY, doubt that.
